No. We do not delete books (or editions) that have been published, even if they are now out of print.

Why? It appears to have a valid ISBN.

Mustafa,

if the book is printed in two parts in Arabic, then both parts should stay on Goodreads. No reason to delete it any.

seems to be duplicate entries with no ISBNs or other distinctive info.

Thanks in advance

Ashley E | 416 comments While correcting some page numbers for a user, I noticed that Homeport by Nora Roberts has like a bijillion (Okay, like 15) audio editions. I'm pretty sure some of these are duplicates...

message 793: by vicki_girl (new)

vicki_girl | 2764 comments Got 804 and 806. Have to run right now, so I will look at Homeport (805) later, unles someone else gets it first.

message 794: by Vicky (last edited Jan 27, 2013 08:19AM) (new)

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments I'm looking at 805.

These all have ISBN numbers and look legitimate to me. It seems that each time the audio was "republished" it was released with an abridged and unabridged version which inflated the number of audio editions quickly. ;)

message 795: by Kate (new)

Kate (katespofford) | 61 comments I received a message from this author wanting me to delete her books - Since there's only one edition of each I know I can't do it myself, but it seems weird to delete books even if they were only "fleetingly available" on Kindle... Maybe a Superlibrarian can contact the author?

"Hello! I'm an author looking to see about having two of my works removed from Goodreads. Currently, my novel SWOON is listed on your site as a work. I would like to say that this book is not published, and am hoping to have it removed. Here is the link to said novel below:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

As you can see, the novel has no reviews. If this could be done, that would be wonderful. In addition, there is a second novel of mine that I would like to see taken down entitled BEYOND BLUE SKIES. This novel was published fleetingly via kindle only and no longer exists. Here is the link below:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...

I'm sure that it would be a mutual agreement that it is not fair for readers to be brought to pages for a novel that does not exist. Regardless, if someone could please get back to me on this matter, I would appreciate it greatly.

Thank you so much for your time!

Jacqueline"

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Re 809

We do not delete books once published - all these books have been reviewed

The author has been reported for removing book data in the last few days also.

You can point her here or tell her to contact GR Support

I tried creating a new edition of an existing book, and ended up making two new entries of the same book. Please delete my two mistakes.

I merged the duplicate, but the second one seems to have valid information, including a valid ISBN and pub date. I have combined it with the other editions of the work.

message 799: by [deleted user] (new)

I posted a request a few minutes ago, however have noted that someone had published an email that I had sent on this thread a few posts up. Might I ask why I was reported for making changes to my own books? Furthermore, I attempted to make a change with viable proof of why I was making said changes, and my edits were reverted back to the old information. Why is this? I apologize if I've gone against protocol. Yet I don't think it is 'weird' to no longer desire an association with two self-published books that were only available for a very short period of time. One novel, I should add, that has not yet been reviewed.
