OK, I am caught up, so I will take First NAME f again. I need to read The Legend of Mickey Tussler: A Novel which is by Frank Nappi for another challenge, and it will fit in here too.

Amy | 2241 comments I am listed as Title D, but it should be Name in Title D (Double Dexter). I hope to have it completed this week.

I will correct that, Amy. Sorry.

No problem. I just didn't want someone else to start reading for that shelf only to find that their book wouldn't count now that the pages tower is done.

6 spots still open for this tower and 13 reserved but not closed. We are getting close!

Sherri (lil_bookette) | 110 comments Can I reserve N name in title? Thanks!

Lyn (Readinghearts) (lsmeadows) | 2895 comments Mod
You got it, Sherri.

D.G. | 1370 comments Can I reserve I name in title? I have a book I've been meaning to read for a while now and it's in my LOST list.

message 262: by Coralie (new)

Coralie | 1658 comments I would like to reserve first name Y for Yasmin Ladha.

D.G. | 1370 comments I'm a bit confused as to what hasn't been reserved as the front hasn't been updated in a while?

I already read:
Last Name U
Name in Title Q

And I reserved 'Name in Title I' but it's not noted in the front either? I'd like to see what's left to see if I can reserve it.

I think the only ones not yet reserved are
Name in Title: U, W, X

I think Amy's right, DG.

Lyn M will update the first posts when she's free :)

Ahhh. I just got back from the library with Whitney, My Love for Name in Title W but I see that LynnB has it reserved.

I have no ideas for the U or X.

Per the Scripts Report thread, First Name and Last Name are completed. Title still has F, G, X and Z to be reported; they are reserved. Y has already been completed and reported, but still shows open on the planning thread. Name in Title still has I, k, L, N, U, W and X to be reported. Only U and X are still awaiting reservation.

Nearly there folks.

Bea, I have no idea what I had planned for W, and in fact, forgot I had it reserved. If you want to read that book for W, go ahead. If not, just let me know and I'll find something for it. And thanks for bringing it to my attention :)

message 269: by LynnB (new)

LynnB | 1769 comments Actually, Bea, if you want to read for W, I'll take U with Ursula, Under. Does that switch work?

Great! Especially as I could not think of any U names other than Ulysses. :)

message 271: by LynnB (new)

LynnB | 1769 comments What are names with X? All I can think of is Xavier and I can't think of that in any titles.... though maybe there is something out there. Hmm, maybe in a children's or YA title?

message 272: by Coralie (new)

Coralie | 1658 comments According to the original rules, for X, all it needs is to be in the name, not starting it.

message 273: by Bea (new)

Bea | 5296 comments Mod
Thanks for that reminder, Coralie!

I did a search and come up with 70 names. Many were uncommon but there was Max, Maxine, Maxmillian, Tex, Lexie, Alex, Alexander, Dixie, Dexter, and Rex on the list.

Any romance readers in our group? Some of these sound like they would be a romance title.

message 274: by D.G. (last edited Aug 03, 2013 08:21AM) (new)

D.G. | 1370 comments I'm sure they are some, Bea! Let me take a look. :)

message 275: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 1370 comments I'll take X then...I found Teasing Lexi where the heroine is called Lexi in the description! In 4 other books I checked, it had 'Lexi' in the title but the description called her Alex or Alexis! (go figure)

message 276: by Amy (new)

Amy | 2241 comments I had found Zen and Xander Undone but had too many books to read for the SRC to reserve it. Glad you found something that works, D.G.

message 277: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 1370 comments I just got it from Lendle so I'll read it today. It's short.

Yeah! U = LynnB, W = Bea, and X = D.G.

Now to get my book done - over 500 pages!

message 279: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 1370 comments Finished it already and reported it in the other thread. WEIRD!

Ursula is around 500+ pages, too -- and I still have to get it at the library tomorrow (or later today?).

LynnB, I just got Whitney from the library on Friday but will not be able to start it until next week. I plan on finishing it by the end of the month.

Good! That means I won't have to be rushing around too much to get the book and get it read quickly. An end-of-the-month goal sounds great!
