I have decided that it is to difficult to do a monthly book, and people seems to be branching out from the book of the month into previous books or new ones! I think this is great, and to encourage it i suggest that if you have a book you are particularly interested in or passionate about you post for that book and start a discussion! How does everyone feel about this??? No more a book a month...but instead numerous books being discussed, giving you more of a choice. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I like that idea...I have several VW on my book shelves and would really like to read them with someone. Good thinkin', thanks
Sounds good to me, though I'll be quiet for a while since I'm reading a non-VW novel for my local reading group.
Hello!I am new to Goodreads, and so I'm just getting acquainted with the group. I am a university professor of English, but don't count on me to spout forth profound thoughts here (LOL). I like VW very much but have read and taught only 2 of her novels: To the Lighthouse and Mrs. Dalloway. I will start the tough novel this summer--The Waves! Oh dear, what a difficult one that will be. Wish me luck!
Hope to hear from you soon,
Pat
Hi, Patricia - I read _The Waves_ for my reading group earlier this year and can only encourage you to press on through the first half or so. It definitely gets "smoother" as the book goes on and is worth the effort. Best of luck! Beth

Hello Patricia, I cannot wait to pick your brain about To the Lighthouse. I just finished it and it feels like I've been swimming through the atmosphere on another planet. What a wonderful experience! Do we get worksheets and essay questions?! :)
Hiya, Cher:Let me see if I can find my lecture on this novel. I'll try to post it tonight for you. Oh, and see the film adaptation! It's wonderful.
Cher, for now just go to Sparknotes for basic info about the novel (http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/lightho...)I'll post my lecture inside the "To the Lighthouse?" group forum.
