Angela smiled. "Hey," she replied, trying not to get flustered. "Didn't expect to see you again anytime soon. How are things?"

Colin shrugged with a slight grimace, scrubbing a hand through his hair, "They're going," he said, shrugging his shoulders to ease the tension out of them, "Just got off work. And you?"
"Well, uh... Same as always really," Angela said, avoiding the real question. "Do you come here a lot?"
"It depends on the day I've had," Colin said with a small grin, "And the amount of shit I've had to deal with. In today's case, the amount was pretty high. And so you find me here."
Angela nodded. "Same here. It's been a... Hard week for me. You getting a drink?" She gestured to the seat next to her, hoping he would stay for a while.
"No, thought I'd just walk in here and then walk right back out," Colin laughed, pulling out a stool next to her and then grinning at her, "Yeah I came for a drink."
Angela blushed, laughing nervously. "I wasn't sure if I wanted one or not. Just kinda found myself coming over here anyways."
"Well I sure want one," Colin grinned, and ordered a beer before turning back to her, "Just found yourself coming here?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
She rolled her eyes. "You probably think I'm some crazy alcoholic," Angela said. She figured her reputation with him was ruined anyways after he had to buy her dinner.
"Nahhh," Colin smiled at her, "You don't have the "look" of a heavy drinker. Believe me, I'd know."
Angela smirked. "I sure hope I don't." She ordered a beer. "You don't need to sit with me, I'm sure you're probably here with friends, right?"
Colin shook his head with a small smile, "No, I'm here alone." he said, and then cocked his head slightly at her, with a curious look, "Why do you keep pushing me away? No offense, I'm just curious."
Angela shrugged. There was no use lying to him. "You're gonna leave me sometime anyways, so why not sooner rather than later?" The truth was that she was getting quite attached to him. And whenever that happened, her heart had always been broken.
Colin just looked at her for a moment, and then said quietly, "But what if I don't?"
Angela smiled sadly, shaking her head. "You will. Everyone does. It's just better if you leave now Colin, I don't really... I don't deal well with people leaving me, and if I get attached then..." She shrugged. She had gone a year without having any attacks, and didn't want it to happen again.
"Hey," Colin reached out and put a hand on her arm, looking seriously down at her, "Relax." He got a firm look to his face and said, "When I say something, I meant it. I'm not leaving you."
Angela nodded silently, unsure whether she believed him yet or not. "It's really not good for me when people leave. Just trust me on that, I'd rather not have you see it all."
"The way you talk about it makes me guess that you've had a lot of jerks walk out on your life," Colin said softly.
Angela shrugged, saying nothing and instead taking a swig of her beer. Looking a little more mature than she actually was had its benefits. "Mostly it's just that I really have no one in my life. My dad walked out on us and my mom and brother were killed in the same recent accident that lost my leg. So when someone walks into my life, I immediately get attached and it hurts even more when they leave."
"Well, I'm not going to leave anytime soon, and not really planning on it for the moment," Colin said, looking at her.
Angela nodded. "Thank you," she said quietly, smiling shyly at him and taking another sip of her beer. The alcohol was getting to her now as she had quite a low tolerance.
"So," Colin said, taking a swig of his beer and swallowing before he continued, "What do you do around here?"

Brandy walked in, mad as usual at her father and her boyfriend.She ordered a cranberry juice with vodka.
Angela frowned. "What do you mean?" She asked, not understanding the question mostly because she had been so deep in thought just a second ago.
"You got a job?" Colin asked with a smile.
She smiled. "I know it's weird, but I'm actually a bartender here. I'm not working today though."
"Oh, well that's a nice job," Colin grinned, saluting her with his beer bottle.
Angela shrugged. "I guess so, huh?" She lifted her own bottle, finishing off about half of what was left. "Now that tastes good," she slurred slightly.
"A good beer always tastes great after a hard day's work," Colin said, finishing his as well and ordering another.
"Oh it tastes good anytime at all." Angela ordered another as well, even though she wasn't quite done with her first. She smiled at Colin. "You know... I'm awfully happy you're here for some reason. Why's that?"
"Maybe because you like having someone to talk to, that according to your past, isn't gonna run away in the next moment or two?" Colin laughed teasingly, and winked at her.
Angela giggled, although none of it would seem that funny to her had she been sober. "Oh you clever boy... But you're gonna..." She finished her beer. "Gonna leave me too once I pass out from all this... Hey, how do you do that wink-y thing? I can never do it." Angela tried winking but just ended up with a weird looking blink.
"Um," Colin laughed at her, and then said with a laugh, "You know, I think I like you a little better with a few beers in you. You talk more, and you laugh."
"What, you didn't like... Like me before? Well, I guess I didn't either." Angela smiled, leaning her elbow on the counter after slipping a few times. "Listen, cutie... How about I answer any three questions you ask me," she held out three fingers, thinking a little. "And you... Teach me how to do the wink-y thing. 'Kay?"
"I did like you before, it's kinda why I'm still hanging out," Colin rolled his eyes and then leaned on his elbows. "Ok, deal. Shoot."

Angela giggled, moving closer to his side. "No, silly, you're teaching me how to do the wink-y thing. You... You get to ask the questions." She smiled at him. "Oh and make 'em fun, cuz I... I don't like boring stuff but fun stuff is fun."
"I thought you were asking the questions," Colin grinned.
Angela shook her head. "No... I answer any three questions and then in return you teach me the wink-y thing."
"Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me," Colin said, "But what if I don't want to ask you anything?"
Angela shrugged, tapping him on the nose. "Well then you... Don't have to, cutie. What else would you want in return?"
"I don't know," Colin said, raising an eyebrow at her, "I think you're just a little too tipsy for me to be fair to you."
Angela frowned. "No I'm not. I'm not tip-sy," she said, exaggerating the syllables. She giggled. "That's a funny word. You're... Funny too, you know?"
Colin laughed softly as he looked at her, "Yeah, you're not at all," he drawled sarcastically with a little chuckle.
"See?" Angela rolled her eyes as if it were obvious. "You just think I'm tip-sy because... Because you're tip-sy." She poked him lightly in the chest. Angela finally sighed and looked at Colin seriously. "I wanna go home now."
"And you should," Colin said, ignoring her first few sentences, and he stepped forward and put an arm around her shoulders, "Need any help?"
