I enjoyed this bit from NPR on "mean girls." Of the five, I've read Gone Girl, Broken Harbor and The Beautiful Mystery. I had not even heard of The Stonecutter, but it sounds pretty chilling. I think I'll put Gaudy Night on my immediate TBR list.
