ok, seems like i got it wrong. but still, nothing suggested that sky's father was suicidal, or remorseful for what he had done. i kind of have a general problem with the scene. I know why Collen wrote it like that, to show that he was not completely evil, but still, people generally don't do 180 of their characters.

I didnt really have a problem with it, because of he hadn't have died I'm sure the aunt would have gone to prison.

I live i Jordan and tried to buy t from book depository and Amazon , and i didn't find it.
Thanks :)

Yep. It is so sad that people have these psychological disorders that there is just no way to fix. The mind can be a dangerous thing. And people that feel no remorse can be the scariest.

I absolutely wanted him to know that he had destroyed Les's life after hearing him justify the "one time" to Sky and Holder but i think Colleen wrote this book so perfectly there isn't an angle i can see where he could be punished without it having a run on effect. So despite feeling he got away too easily i cant fault it.

I'm sure what he did to Les isn't just one time... He said he only raped Karen and Hope once but it wasn't true right? I have to agree with you though, should John stay alive all of their lives will be more complicated. Karen might end up in jail, Sky will suffer the stigma of being a physically abused kid... and John, well he is a police officer, he can get away with it again if he wants to...

I'm a bit not into it. I love Slammed and I think it is way so much better than this. But I'm loving Holder, he reminds me of Lucas in some ways. :)

It's really, really good and I love it so much! :">

me too! it's one of my favorite reads last month.

I'm late xD"
Hope you enjoy this:) Holder is one of the most intense, passionate characters I've ever read. Love him!

If I remember correctly, her father killed himself. I don't think it was out of remorse though; I think it was from getting caught and being a cop, he knew the consequences! I think he just knew that might be his only way out of worse: a living hell!

9% so I was wondering why anyone would call their child 'six', then it turns out that they actually called her 'Seven Marie', and she changed it to six to annoy them. Still, who calls their kid Seven? And why do I never meet anyone in real life with such a grooovy name?

agree! i liked how sky got her name. ... but thats not till later ;)
I kinda like it so far. Interested to see where this relationship is going. I'm worried that there won't be a happy ending though.

I agree. (view spoiler)[Also I have really no idea how holder managed to kill sky's father and had no remorse, and sky wasn't even bothered by it, although she confessed that she loved her father, even if it was very little. I am not even getting inside the technicalities of making the shot. (hide spoiler)]
