I just wanted to let you know that there's a group of us working on an anthology of space opera stories, all of them set in the same universe. For most of us, though not all, this is the first serious writing project that we are attempting.
The working title is: Elite Anthology: Tales from the Frontier. The aim is to have the anthology be an official part of the Elite continuum. Elite is part of a sci-fi computer game series from the 1980's and 1990's, all parts of which were accompanied by sci-fi novellas and short story collections to set the scene for the game. The first one was written by Robert Holdstock and it was called "The Dark Wheel":
In order to make our anthology an official part of this same continuum, we have set up a Kickstarter to pay the licensing fees to Frontier Developments - the game developer who owns the rights to the universe. The company is selling these licenses as a part of their campaign to gather funds to develop a new Elite game (Elite: Dangerous) for 2014 release.
Please, if you are at all interested, or a benevolent person in general, visit our Kickstarter site and read more about us and our plans for the anthology:
