and it was an awesome book to start the year with! :D"Good choice then Jalyn! I have it in my tbr also, so maybe I check it out soon.
You should! Such a good book! :)Last year I started off with a book that I didn't end up liking and I felt like it set the tone for the whole year. I've never read so many books in a year that I either flat out didn't like or felt "meh" about. I'm hoping that starting with a good book will mean it'll be a good reading year. *Fingers crossed* :D
lol . . . You are getting more superstitious like me too :) I believe a good start will lead to a good year :)I'll fine time to read the book soon if possible.
My first read was
It was a great book by my favorite author. The story it self really messes with your mind until the end where it then all falls into place and makes perfect sense. =D

Missy wrote: "The first book I read was

Ironically I had an advanced reading copy of the first book before the official book came out so I have had a copy of the book for pretty much 10 years now and never finished it. I even met the author.
First book for 2013 was 'mystic city' I'm really enjoying it but I'm not finishing it completely till the date to the second book is closer (:
First book for 2013 was DELIRIUM by Lauren Oliver. The book is a good start! Then can't wait to read Pandemonium and Requiem!
I usually just pick up whatever is at hand for the new year. If I got a new book for Christmas that I haven't read before, I choose that one.For 2013, though, my first read was
Which I actually enjoyed rather a lot.

unfortunately. It was terrible. VERY terrible."Aww... so sorry to hear. It's a huge disappointment to start a new year with a crappy book.
