Merlin is tending bar, but there aren't many people around yet, being such a small town he knows every young person around. Merlin gets out his sketch pad and starts to do a rough outline of a girl and boy sitting together in the far corner with his char-coalt-like pencil.

[Kayleigh]

Ivy walks into the bar, her long blonde hair pulled into a high ponytail. She sits at the bar and plays with a bracelet on her wrist, spinning it around.

[Ayn]

Brayden walked into the bar, a deep scowl set on his face, trying to look older. He came to the bar counter and started to pull out his wallet. "What beers do you have?"

[Kayleigh]

Ivy rolls her eyes at Brayden's scowly face. It was a small town so everyone pretty much new each other. "Why do you look so grumpy, Brayden?" She teases.

[B.L.]

Merlin looks up from his sketch pad at Brayden. Merlin smirks slightly, but not unkindly, 'we have two, HSB and just larger mate, take your pick' says Merlin.

Merlin looks over at Ivy fidling and says 'be there in a minute ok' he smiles openly.

[Kayleigh]

Ivy smiles, "No rush." She didn't have any other plans for the day. She only planned to hang at the beach all day and write music lyrics.

[B.L.]

Brayden seems to be thinking so Merlin says 'go on then Ivy, what do you want?', he runs a hand through his dark messy hair and smiles again, his sketchpad still on the counter, picture half drawn.

[Ayn]

Brayden tried to contain his grin. "I'll take a HSB. Oh, and whatever Ivy wants, of coarse." he turned to Ivy. "I'll explain in a second." he muttered to her.

[Kayleigh]

"I'll have a diet coke it you have one." Ivy says to Merlin, her gaze glides over to his drawing, she would be asking him about it later. Ivy turns to Brayden, "Is everything alright?" she asks skeptically.

[B.L.]

Merlin nods and gets the beer, he opens it for Brayden then slides it along the counter, 'dont flirt Brayden, it's troubling' jokes Merlin. Merlin turns to smile at Ivy, he gets her drink then leans on the counter.

[Ayn]

He took a swig of his beer, then smirked. "Yeah, everything is fine. Just forgot where I was for a moment." He laughed then paid Merlin.

[Kayleigh]

"Forgot where you were? Damn boy, how many beers have you had today?" Ivy jokes with an easy smile on her face. She thanks Merlin for her drink and ignores his comment about flirting, "Can I see your drawing?" She asks him.

[B.L.]

Merlin meets her gaze head on and his lips quirk up slightly, 'yeah, if you like', he slides it over to her, 'its rubbish really , just a rough thing' Merlin says.

[Ayn]

Brayden leaned over to look at the drawing as well. "Where I'm from, you can't even be in a bar at my age." He shrugged, "Scowling makes me look older."

[Kayleigh]

"rubbish? Like hell, I couldn't ever draw something like this even if it was just a rough draft!" Ivy says as her blue aqua eyes scan the paper.

[B.L.]

Merlin's eyebrow raises, 'nah mate, im just easy, i know you, remember, we were in the same year, you were only in for a few months though', Merlin shakes his head laughing.

"The scowl just made you look like someone who hates the world....not older," Ivy rolls her eyes at Brayden

Merlin turns to Ivy and says 'if you think thats good, wait till you see the completed ones', he smiles slightly.

"Can't wait." she grins back and tucks a strand of hair that escaped her ponytail behind her ear.

[B.L.]

Merlin's grey eyes with flecks of green regard Ivy thoughtfully, 'I'll be sure to show you some Ivy' he says with a nod.

[Ayn]

Brayden sat back on his barstool, drinking.

[Kayleigh]

"I can't draw a straight line to save my life, but I can sing and play guitar and a bit of piano." She says boastfully and content smile on her pretty face.

'Come on Brayden, dont be shy, participate' Merlin says in a teacher -like tone mirroring thier old English lit college teacher, Mr.Briggs.

[Ayn]

He chuckled softly at the imitation, "I'm not good at anything."

[Kayleigh]

Ivy giggles, "You're good at drinking?" She jokes as she points at his beer. She was 17 and not yet old enough to drink. She was the youngest of the group.

[Ayn]

He saluted his beer to them. "At least I have that going for me." He grinned.

[B.L.]

Merlin fights the urge to roll his eyes at Brayden's self-derication and says to Ivy, 'thats really amazing, never tried any instruments before'. Merlin thinks of Kol, the dangerous 18 year old from Ireland living in his house who could play guitar...really well actually.

Ivy nods, "Yeah there's always the option of being a drunk..." She says sarcastically to Brayden before taking a drink from her glass. "There's not many of us who play around here..." She comments to Merlin.

Merlin almost metions Kol but thinks better of it, he talks enough about him as it is, 'Not many people are into drawing or art either really' he says.

[Kayleigh]

"Well music and drawing are both considered art right?" Ivy asks, "So I guess we have that in common."

[Ayn]

Brayden was silent, finishing off his beer.

[Kayleigh]

"We should have a big beach party." Ivy says randomly.

[B.L.]

Merlin considers this, 'yeah, i guess it is, dont know why we never knew that about eachother before' says Merlin.

[Ayn]

Brayden started nodding enthusiastically.

[B.L.]

Merlin laughs, 'of course we are Ivy, we do every year at the start of summer, it's being set up, like, now' he says.

[Kayleigh]

"Oh right....Sorry dumb blonde moment." Ivy says blushing as she points at her golden locks. "We should get a live band together." She says thinking aloud. "Do you know anyone who plays?" She asks them both

[Ayn]

Brayden shook his head before turning to Merlin, "Do you have any Jack Daniels?"

[B.L.]

Again Merlin thinks of Kol...

[Kayleigh]

"I'll take that as a no..." Ivy says after a moment when no one answers her, "So what day is the party this year?"

[B.L.]

'Tomorrow night' answers Merlin, after a pause Merlin reluctantly says 'Kol can play', the worst part was Kol would be perfect, he has the bad boy old time rock star look naturally, especially with the beat up leather jacket and tattoo's.

[Ayn]

Brayden rolled his eyes at the mention of his bud, Kol. Of coarse he could play.

[Kayleigh]

"Hmmm...." Ivy says as she thinks of Kol, most girls melted in his presence, but Ivy wasn't impressed. "I'll keep him in mind." she says nonchalantly.

Merlin smiles at Ivy's obvious disinterest, 'then again maybe not, Kol is...unstable, dangerous', despite seemingly Kol's calm and watchful, almost maddeningly so, personality Merlin knows what he's capable of, you dont get sent to prison for nothing, even in Ireland.

[Ayn]

Brayden raised a eyebrow, "Don't want any girls loosing their sweet virtues at the party?"

[Kayleigh]

"Aren't all boy's dangerous?" Ivy asks as she thinks about the broken hearts she had suffered through in life. "Brayden will you be going to the party?" She asks curiously.

[B.L.]

'Not like Kol' mutters Merlin before turning to Brayden and saying 'yeah Brayden, you coming?'.

[Ayn]

Brayden shrugged. "I might, might now. Why? Does Ivy want me to take some special girl's virtue?" he winked at them.
