Daemon and Katy?

This is one of my favortie books because i love the chemistry between Katy and Daemon, but Daemon can be such a jerk, i have one friend who hates it and another who loves it.
So sound off, do you like (or do you mind) Daemon being a jerk? What do you think of Katy and his relationship.
(You can say something about Onyx too if you'd like because if you have read it you Daemon is different in Oynx a little.)

I also agree, obsidian is an amazing and well-written book and of course one of my favorites. And i don't mind Daemon being a jerk. As Reena said, in most YA books girl meets boy, boy meets girl and CABOOM! everything is perfect. But here the story is different: Daemon can't be truly himself. Everything is at stake, his family and friends may be destroyed if he just loses it for a second and he can't afford to just let go, especially when a human is included in the equation. He has to keep his walls up and be in control, or otherwise everything he cares for may be lost.

So in other words, not only i don't mind that Daemon is being a jerk, i kind of expected it. It shows that the character is true and honest with himself and the story is not going to be a cheesy romance where everything is perfect :-)

Daemon and Katy are now on my top 5 of epic couples! I've read the three books and I can't wait for more. They are well written and it's not hard to read at all, it's perfect.

if you read the book, you should understand why he is such a jerk. besides he is hot so i love him! but in real life if a guy was being a jerk to me, forget it. i would jump him!

I most deffinantly agree he is really big jerk in obsidean but thats part of what makes me love him and him and her constrantly going at it is funny, in on yx he does change a bit not neary as bad and normally keeps him self in check (subtract Jelousy) over all him being a jerk is quite intrusting
