Kerry (geniusscientist) | 70 comments Maybe not so self-explanatory after all!

willaful I've often seen that done with Jim Benton's "Dear Dumb Diary" books, though they don't seem to be here at GR. Probably someone already removed them.

willaful Yes, you can see in the librarian log of That's What Friends Aren't For that someone removed the "Jamie Kelly" author which is often given for the books. I would tend to agree with that, but is there an official policy?

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) All the 'Murder, She Wrote' books are credited to "Jessica Fletcher & Donald Bain". There are about 35. It's listed on the cover that way and if it helps find the books easier, I don't have a problem with it.

The Jessica Fletcher name is listed as a pseudonym of Donald Bain and DOES appear on all the book covers. In this case I would treat it as any pen name.

The name that was removed does not appear on the front cover of any of the editions. If it did, it would also be a pseudonym, I suppose.

Brooke | 46 comments Christopher Buckley's God Is My Broker is one of these - the cover lists "Brother Ty" as the primary author, as it's the fictional narrator of the book. I've noticed I'm always finding random editions popping up listed just under "Brother Ty" - see:

Seems to me that, unless the first edition has Buckley listed first, Brother Ty should be primary author on all editions.
