Irma | 3 comments I generally like to buy my books. This way I can pass them on to someone else to enjoy or donate to the local library.

message 102: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 2 comments I like to still read hardcover books. i don't mind going to the library and getting books and returning them. I can buy them if I want a particular book to keep. i wouldn't mind a kindle except for the fact you must buy to download.

message 103: by Janis (new) - added it

Janis | 1 comments Hardcover. I have a Kindle, but I love the feel and smell of a real book!!!

Rebecca Hardcover

message 105: by E (new) - added it

E G (brownlyrics) I prefer to read ebooks- thru Amazon Kindle app and Kindle mechanism.

Stacey Anderson Love Love Love my Nook!!!!

message 107: by Courtney (new)

Courtney (courtneystaylor) | 2 comments I'm old fashioned, I prefer a hardcover in my hand. :)

message 108: by Tiffani (new)

Tiffani (tiffanipassportbooks) | 1 comments I prefer paperbacks. Hardcovers are big, heavy, and inconvenient to carry around in my purse. I have an ereader but I just haven't come to love holding it in my hands quite as much as holding an actual physicalbook. Paperbacks are just perfect.

message 109: by Heather (new) - added it

Heather I love my NOOK! I love being able to look up words and images right from the book, I love the amount of light I get, I love that I can "carry" 400 books at once and be reading multiple books at once.

The only bad thing about e-readers is falling asleep while reading....hahaha...

Heather (hbodley17) Heather wrote: "The only bad thing about e-readers is falling asleep while reading....hahaha......"

I agree! lol

message 111: by alhafizol (new)

alhafizol | 1 comments I love everything about physical books, the feeling, the smell of papers, the sound of the flipping pages. So, if I have to choose, definitely physical books would be my favorite choice.

However, recently I bought Kindle Touch. It is such a good experience reading the e-books from kindle. E-reader is more or less for my convenient, easier to bring and it's like you're bringing the whole collections of books with you.

All in all, both of these have pro and cons like everything else in the world. I just don't want to separate this two things but I just would like to keep it together for my own good. =)

message 112: by Nikki (new)

Nikki I know the e-readers & tablets are convenient - but there's nothing like holding a bound novel & using a bookmark - for me anyway!

message 113: by Michael (new) - added it

Michael Smith e - reader

message 116: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Paperback. Kindle when I'm traveling.

message 117: by Gearóid (new)

Gearóid | 1 comments I bought an Amazon Touch about a month ago and really like it.Love the little light on the cover...
Still feel funny about it though as i miss the paperback book in my hand but i still have all my favourite books in paperbook.

Kerstin E-reader. Couldn't get the hardcover before January.

message 119: by Heather (new) - added it

Heather Berkowitz (stingzgrrl) Either e-reader (Nook) or regular print book. I've given myself a limit of $5 or less on e-books, otherwise I'll go broke :) I've been using my Nook more, but that's because there are so many free/cheap books that are (surprisingly) good! I guess I'm enjoying both :)

I feel you. Each shelf in the bookcase is arranged by height (tallest - shortest, left to right) and I keep books in the same series together in numerical order. I have all the Harry Potter books in a mixture of hardcover and paperback and it's kind of annoying that a couple of the books throw off the height thing once I put them in order, lol

message 121: by Sharon (new) - rated it 4 stars

Sharon (sweetsharon) e-reader for all my books now

message 122: by Electra (new) - added it

Electra Baskerville | 3 comments I prefer my iPad!! It's in my purse ALL the time!! I read all my magazines, (O mag is a MUST)!! and my books on it. It's convenient, light weight, I just love it!! I've downloaded the newest book, and I haven't started it yet, as I was suppose to last wk, my 2-yr old grandson has all my attn!! Lol

message 123: by Rita (new)

Rita | 26 comments I must have the book in my hands..something about holding it and smelling it's pages..

You might want to check and see if your library has e books available for check out. Mine has audio and e books you can check out just like you would check out a hard copy book.

message 125: by Ronald (last edited Dec 16, 2012 08:53PM) (new) - added it

Ronald (ron410) | 4 comments Hardcover, but I prefer paperback

message 126: by Carrie (new) - rated it 4 stars

Carrie Bivens | 8 comments This book will be a Kindle book. I like hardcovers, but with as much moving as I do, boxing and unboxing them can be a pain. Right now the library has really been handy for me; as I have sold both ereaders, and am waiting on my new kindle to arrive

message 127: by Brianna (new) - added it

Brianna (brithibodeaux) | 3 comments For The Twelve Tribes I am reading it on my kindle fire.
I like to switch between the physical books and the e-books because I love the feeling of the physical books and I love the convenience of having a lot of books on an e reader like the kindle fire.

message 128: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne (rrrrrocsdumlao) | 1 comments I prefer hardbound books :)

message 129: by Dee (new)

Dee (dees_book_blog) (xdeex) I used to love paperbacks, but since gettingy kindle I've found I'm hardly reading paperbacks at all anymore!

message 130: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jazmojo) I love switching between hardcover books and my kindle. I love the feel of a book and the smell of the pages, but I also love reading from the kindle, especially at night when I can pull out my light that's attached to the kindle cover

message 131: by Bernadette (new)

Bernadette Jansen op de Haar (bernadettejodh) | 1 comments I love books and like them on my selves and in piles around the house. So I read fiction and poetry in print, hardback or paperback. However I nowadays read all my prose manuscripts on my kindle.

message 132: by Katie (new) - added it

Katie (katie2027) | 2 comments First choice: books. Always....but, I travel a lot and my kindle is my best friend! :)

message 133: by Lisa (new)

Lisa I LOVE my e-reader. I never want to pick up a regular book. Sad I know!! I still go in bookstores. I usually use my phone to take pictures of books that I want to read so that I can look them up when I get home. I don't want to forget a potentially good/fantastic read!!

We're glad you experimented with an e-reader, Katie. We love being able to take our favorite books on the go as well. Which version of The Twelve Tribes of Hattie will you be reading?

That's a smart strategy, Lisa. Have you checked out any of Oprah's notes or favorite passages through your digital edition of The Twelve Tribes of Hattie?

message 136: by Lisa (new)

Lisa I have not but I will certainly do that. Thank you!!

message 137: by KC (new)

KC Rhoads (kc_rhoads) | 6 comments Hardcover for sure. I like to physically feel the pages, dogear them and have my books look well loved.

Heather (hbodley17) GASP!!! Dogear?!?! The horror!!

message 139: by Lisa (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lisa Lingrell (lisa_lingrell) | 11 comments I love paperbacks. Love the smell, feel and how they look on my bookshelves, which drives my husband insane. Particularly if we move house! So now, I'm falling in love with my "kindle". And so is my husband when he looks at the bank account.... (I live in New Zealand - new publications cost between $30 to $36 for paperback. From $40 for hardcover. Sad but true!!

message 140: by Lisa (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lisa Lingrell (lisa_lingrell) | 11 comments Which means I have to wait until January before The Twelve Tribes of Hattie is available to upload! Though I don't think it's been released here yet, as it's not in any bookstore..

message 141: by Susan (last edited Dec 17, 2012 02:07PM) (new) - added it

Susan Edmonson My tablet although I also read on my phone and my kindle. I mostly use my kindle for audio books in the car.

message 142: by Kristen (new)

Kristen hardcover from the library!

message 143: by Trudy (new) - added it

Trudy (goodreadscomtrudyspages) E-Reader. I really enjoy "whispersync for voice", where you can read and listen to professional narration at the same time. Because this an expensive addiction for me (buying both the ebook and the audio version), I only buy "voice" when I really enjoy the narrator's voice. I just finished SHOOT THE MOON, narrated by Lou Diamond Phillips and SAVING CEE CEE HUNEYCUTT, narrated by Jenna Lamia. Both were excellent!

message 144: by Jenn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jenn Burt | 2 comments I love my kindles! Currently I'm reading using a first generation kindle fire most of the time, but will pull out a second generation kindle if I'm poolside or at the beach (the screen on the original fire is no good for high glare situations).

I also listen to a lot of unabridged audiobooks using my mp3 player.

message 145: by hermz (new)

hermz | 1 comments I love my new Kindle!! The fact that I'm currently on an island and the nearest decent book store in Kota Kinabalu means that I can download books without having to wait around. I think from now on I'll only buy a book that I want the collection to and want the hardcopy of. I love the smell of new books but ereaders are great for me right now :)

message 146: by Karren (new) - rated it 5 stars

Karren | 3 comments Love reading on my iPad. I had an eReader first and loved it. I still read the occasional book in real paper form now and again, if it is something I want to read and I don't have or can't get an eBook form

message 147: by Ilaria (new)

Ilaria Galvani | 1 comments Only hardcover! ;D

message 148: by Melva (new)

Melva (hookerm) | 25 comments I love paperbacks. I enjoy the flexibility of being able to fold back the pages. I sometimes read in the bathtub and would not be to do that with an electronic device. I prefer a good old paperback any day.
