My personal experience with this book is that it is very interest in and i even forgot to do homework ounce will reading it. i read it because it was a project for english and biology. Some quotes are “I could start a war between the u.s and iraq.” “ The CIA knew about this and didn't tell us.” and “You are working with smallpox are mad” !
The book The Demon In The Freezer is a riveting story about the true struggle between humans and the worst disease known to man smallpox! You learn about what makes smallpox so deadly the different kinds of smallpox including and the people that fought against the disease that killed over one billion people since its beginning. There are short stories of other deadly disease like ebola and the anthrax outbreak after 911 and how people managed to control the diseases and keep them from reaching large populations of people. And the best parts At least in my opinion were the book talks about the conspiracies that the russian america and many other countries have massive amounts of weaponized smallpox even after it was “eradicated” from earth. anthrax and many other deadly diseases were also made even deadlier by the very people that it infects.
This story is great for people interested in biology, virology and anything scientific. Though there are parts not for the faint of heart there is grotesque overly vivid parts involving amputates childrens arms in jars people with pustulated bloody skin and many many people die. And for people that love animals lots of test mice die and there even is a part were a group of monkey are given smallpox and die sad deaths but for the good of humanity.
The theme for the story would be if everyone would try to stop other things like cancer and aids they will succeed just like with smallpox.

Thought it was a thought provoking book how close humans can come to extinction if it gets into to the hands of someone evil we would have another hitler situation
