Remember, Polgara is supposed to look like she is in her 20s or early 30s. The guys got older looking, but she stayed relatively young and beautiful.
Haha your rigt. You need to find an actor who seems like she could be old and young at the same time.... One that can be a good catty person too...

Even Danny Glover might pull it off, did you see him SyFy's miniseries of Earthsea? I thought he did a great job.
You could cast Rosario Dawson as Polgara and that would be a pretty nice set up I think. Though I'm feeling pretty keen on the idea of Scarlett Johansson now... :)
And yah, Jason Mamoa (Conan/Drogo) might do a good Barak. He's been pulling those kinds of roles off nicely.
As for Garion...thats so tough. I can't even think of a single actor I'd be happy with.
