Final Discussion to Begin on the 26th (Questions posted on the 26th)

Hey All!

I have posted a tentative schedule above. I know for some of us, it may seem like a slower pace, but it gives everyone a chance to participate (especially those of us-like me-who has kids and a demanding job). What do you think of the schedule? Seem appropriate?

What do you think of having a separate discussion for each Section? May help us keep it organized, and it would let others participate in previous discussions. What do you think?

Shanon (boban) There are probably some people that will be reading this via an ebook or listning to an audio book. Does this book have chapters we can break it down into instead so everyone can participate?

message 3: by Jason (new)

Jason | 36 comments The book version I have, and I imagine the ebook, is broken down into 4 parts. No chapters, just 4 Parts. My original idea was to break it down by chapters, but then I discovered it doesn't have them.

Theresa (tsorrels) Do you want to do away with the SPOILERS and NO SPOILER topic threads for Sunshine, Jason? If so, I'll delete them and just run off your idea.

Jason | 36 comments I think the spoilers and non-spoilers is fine to keep around, that way people can post and discuss there as well, and it won't interrupt the discussion here that will be based on sections. Really I am just trying to get some talking going around the reads, and thought a structured format may aid the goal.

Nia | 22 comments I think this schedule is great, because I'm still waiting for my copy of the book. It's easier for me to catch up with the rest of the group this way.

Having a seperate dicussion for each section sounds good for me as well.

Margaret | 18 comments My copy still has not came I don'[t want to fall to much behind you guys!

message 8: by Shanon (new)

Shanon (boban) Maybe we could discuss the different sections in different threads. That way no matter when you read the book or how fast/slow you read there will be a place to discuss it.

message 9: by Jason (new)

Jason | 36 comments I think that is the idea; or at least how I think we should run it, that way people can join the discussion at different times. I will post the first discussion starters in a few minutes.

Jason | 36 comments Hope your copy gets here soon Margaret. Maybe I could just transcribe the book in the body of a post . . . then again that might take away from my reading time.

I think that Amazon has hitched my book to the back of a turtle, I've never had it take so long for a book to come.

Nia | 22 comments I'm still waiting for my copy of the book... *sigh*

Normally it takes 1-2 weeks when I order english books at our bookstore. But it's been 3 weeks now...

Seems that I won't be able to join the group read... But at least I got Ilona Andrew's "Magic Strikes" today... so I have something to comfort myself with.

message 13: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (tsorrels) Nia, you can always come and write in the threads after March, too. We keep all the old threads up just for that reason... for people that have to wait from the library, bookstore, etc.

How did you manage that? I'm a very envious girl!

Nia | 22 comments @Theresa: I know... but it would have prefered to read it with everyone else...

@DarkHeart: Must have something to do with the book importer (I live in Germany). I noticed that sometimes they send the books days or weeks before the official on-sale date.

Hmm... I'm in the UK and everything seems to be coming out late these days - never early. I've pre-ordered it from both the US and UK hoping I'll get it from one or the other somewhere around the release date. I'm suffering Curran withdrawls
