Yep. I don't think iPhones are bad but you can definitely customize and make your Android phone a lot more to your liking, especially if you are into modding.

In other news, I finally started cutting my HI for next year. I'm working with my coach over the summer so I can be ready. Last year was AWFUL as far as competition goes, and I had some (unspoken) problems with teammates that I thought were friends but that were kind of just dragging me along (small team, mind you). I want to actually be good next year.

I really hate Samsung. They put a horribly ugly skin on Android, and add really gimmicky features that slow the phone down. They also take up so much space with their crap apps they add on, so for example if you have a 16 GB Galaxy S4 (same price as an iPhone pretty much), you will only have about 8 gigs of usable storage. If I was to get another smartphone, I would go with a Nexus, and if not I would go for another LG phone, or an HTC.

If you don't want to (and I know you know this), don't feel like you "owe it to the team" to stay or are "too invested" to quit. It just may not be something that feels worthwhile, even if you enjoyed it in the past. Our feelings about things can change, and that's not a bad thing. I think it's better to try lots of things and find that one thing senior year that you wish you'd found much earlier than stick with something you aren't enjoying as much as you would like or used to just because it's familiar. And if you change your mind and decide you want to do it again? Hey, there's all year. :)

Freshman year will seem hard but it's honestly easy. I'd say take the year to get used to your school and the clubs, sports, social events, how everything works, so you can start taking advantage of them the next year

I really wish I didn't have so many stupid B's from freshman year, now that I have worse classes and I get a B in those it angers me that I could've gotten an A in those other easier classes and not have to take 4 AP's senior year.
