Tournament debates? After people signed up, I paired them up (keeping the order so that it would maintain its "first come, first serve" policy in the case of an odd number of people/pairs signing up). Then, I looked up debatable topics (read: not religion, etc. Feel free to use existing but less-debated topics within this group's collection) and wrote a resolution (i.e. "Holidays are overcommercialized.") for each person/pair. Then, I assigned the sides randomly and allowed the debaters to have at it, just making sure that no one crossed any lines or was nasty. At the end of the week, I judged the debates based on who made the most compelling argument (quality over quantity) and announced via group message.

That'd be great if you'd do them! I feel horrible that I haven't been able to run any of this stuff, but you guys are awesome! :D
