The first one they killed Henri. I haven't read the others. I meant the ending of the first book. I will try to edit the title. sorry!

My only thing with it was John leaving Sarah in order to "protect" her. Everyone knew they were dating, which means she's a giant target, and then there was no one there to protect her.

My only thing with it was John leavi..."
Yeah, I kind of get that he had to leave her, but even when he does it still effects her, so I would have liked it better if maybe he went with them.

@Jordan
I think it would have made the ending better, had she gone with them.

Yeah, I know! I don't know if you have read the others yet, but I am in the middle of the second one and she needs to be there! It's really making me mad!!!

I really hope Six ends up with Sam...

The writing is very one dimensional, so no surprise it leaves people feeling confused and frustrated. But what can we really expect from a drug addict, liar, who misrepresents himself and has to now write under a psuedonym because anyone who knew he was James Frey probably wouldn't read anything he published.
So..yah, I agree. Too much was going on at the end. There was too little going on other places.
I spent most of the novel hoping he'd start using a wider variety of punctuation. But when I discovered who Pittacus Lore was, I realized the problem and stopped reading this series.
/end rant.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

I've never heard of him before, yet there are endless numbers of people who rant, and rant, and rant about him.
I enjoyed the book, I enjoyed the movie, and I've enjoyed the series so far.

He wrote a book called A Million Little Peices, which was supposedly a memoir of his life. However, not only was the book utter trash to begin with, it was highly fabricated. He tried to cover the controversy up, but finally admitted to his falsifactions later on. It was so bad, his publisher and agent dropped him afterward.
Anyway, if you're really interested

I just have no respect for the guy. When I found out he was part of Pittacus Lore, I trashed the series. He's not getting any more of my money.

I did buy book one, after I read it from the library. The other two, I read free from the library.

The movie frustrated me SOOOOO much! I mean, I liked it, but not compared to the book.. at all...

That is pretty much how I saw it after I found out.
Then again, he's smoked so much crack he may actually believe this shit.

Only if they are actually sorry. Which is not the impression I've ever gotten.
He's only gone on to use pen names so he can further misrepresent himself.

I feel like I am the only one who doesn't know about this... can someone fill me in???

you can just click on Controversy in the contents of that page and go straight to it.

I try not to pay attention to the personal lives of actors/writers/authors. Instead I pay attention to the quality of their work, and imo, The Lorien Series is very entertaining.

Okay, now I get what this is all about, but I am liking the series and I am going to read it still. especially since I am in the middle of one, and I am finally getting into it.

To each his own. I feel like I find higher quality writing in authors who keep integrity to their story and their lives.
But I wasn't very impressed with The Lorien Series before I even knew it was written by James Frey.
So obviously - we see things differently LOL!
Thanks for listening to my rant though :)

Agreed. Stories with integrity are of a much higher quality, imo. And it's nice if the author backs it up with their lifestyle.
As for the listening to the rant, lol. Your welcome :)

Yeah, but I actually ended up liking the first book the best! The second was goo, but I didn't like the third one at all. But it was my brothers favorite, so I guess it's just me. Total cliffhanger ending as well. I will keep reading though, because who knows? Maybe it will get better.
