First off, I am a huge TW fan since Tailchaser's Song, thank you Tad for many hours of enjoyment. Now the question: Do you pre-determine the genre for book ideas up front or do you prefer to let the stories flow out of you in a more natural way. For instance did you say "I am going to write a sci-fi story" for Otherland or did the story dictate it had to be written that way. Secondly, what genre's of books do you enjoy reading now?
