PLEASE don't get in a cyber-fight. No need for 'furtile's and 'Excuse Me's. Can we give our opinion nicely? Its obvious that you dissagree.

Who's fighting? I personally have so much fun.

Me too!

It's so funny how people will jump to defend a fictional character just because they have a crush on him. I don't even jump down someone's throat like this when they say they don't like my actual boyfriend.

I find the reasoning for Will's jerkiness is a touch flimsy and it seems like she realized she'd be called on his similarity to Jace to she made up a fairly simply excuse for him to act just like Jace without actually being like him.
Don't get me wrong, in the scene that described it I was moved and I do like Will and it's not even that I hated Jace, I liked him fine for the first three books, I just feel like a lot of Clare's writing is pretty transparent.
But that's my own problem, obviously she's doing well for herself judging by the rabid fans, it's my own fault to be expecting a higher level of maturity so I can like her stories as much as I want to.

I got to admit that CC isn't the best authors, all her characters are similar, especially between Draco (from her Harry Potter fanfcition), Jace and Will. I can clearly see the hormones affecting the way the characters express themselves, they are still teenagers and act like them despite the fact that they kill things...
I think this is a disadvantage, many readers dislike and often get irritated at such immature and slang in books...

Oh I meant maturity in the writing itself, I usually kinda like the teenagers acting like teenagers. I meant maturity in that the situations come up organically, clever solutions to possible plot holes etc. Will's backstory seems like an awfully convenient excuse to write a Jace carbon copy.

I so agree with this. but i also can see why others would see him as selfish and a jerk.

Ok u tottly agree with this. Simon is so better. but i still love Jace.
