Cheri This book reminds you how blind the sighted really are, and how fortunate the blind can be, that they don't have the disadvantage of allowing physical attributes to sway their opinion of people.

Kressel Housman Have you read The Cay? It's similar - a blind white boy befriended by an old black man.

Faye One of my all time favorite books

Elizabeth I read this in high school more years ago than I care to admit. It was the first "adult" book I read, and I will never forget the impact it had on me. When I saw the movie, I began a life-long love affair with Sydney Poitier!
