Oh man this book was so great. I really loved it.
I've only read like two chapters of it before. I just ordered the book from the library today... again. There's something I don't understand about the plot. I know the main character finds something important but where he lives... is that earth? And is there a island on top throwing away trash on earth? I'm not sure how the whole thing works. I forget :/
You'll get it when you read it. It is on earth, in a very poor country. Read the jacket flap blurb thing, and that kind of explains what's up. They live in a garbage dump and they get money by trading the valuable things they find in the trash.
I just got it actually and will be starting it after I finish Life of Pi.
