Thanks, rivka!
PS. Totally unrelated, sorry, but I find it a bit annoying that the site keeps printing my name as "Alex S." in all kinds of places instead of just Alex... is there a way to fix this, without losing the middle initial in my main settings?

Actually a lot of Alex's on site, so possibly "Alex (whatever)" in first name field.
It actually was for an alternate cover to an existing edition. So I was very careful, looked at how other alternate covers had been handled in other entries, compared with what already existed for the book I was editing, etc. And yet, I have a feeling something went wrong...
So, here's how I proceeded: I had the book in my "read" shelf. From there, I clicked on "edit" to change the edition. Not finding the cover I have in the list, I clicked on "add a new edition" at the top right of the page. This took me to a partially pre-filled form (with the title of the book and a few other things), so I just entered the rest of the data and uploaded the new cover image (which I scanned myself).
This is the result:

Which looks good... except, it doesn't seem to be linked to the other editions of the same book?? Rather, it *seems* like it's been added as a separate new book. I'm guessing this can easily be fixed by a combine (or is it merge?) but I'd like to know what I did wrong, to avoid it from happening again in the future...
Or is this normal behavior and always needs to be manually fixed after the fact?
