Sarcasm doesn't translate, yes, which is why Falco used a smiley ;). That's the universal sign for "I'm joking", sorry that wasn't clear. On the plus side, I've had no trouble grasping YOUR use of sarcasm. And you were very much explaining things, from laudanum to the source of opium, and the like. I was not annoyed with this nor am I faulting you for NOT being psychic, I was venturing that this was unnecessary.

And considering your obvious chagrin here, I'd say you are just as annoyed as I am at this point. Now since you're obviously offended, might I offer my apologies for intervening and speaking for the group. But I would very much like to get back to the subject at hand and not spend any more time on a "you said, I said". Fair enough?

I made that too! ( I bought the cookbook) Sister's Stew is amazing, note on the turnip though. Smaller ones taste better.

You are so right Lesley. I have been paying more attention to the way the authors describe how the food tastes since I read your note. It really is an indicator of things to come. Do you have any similar advice for the stock market or the lottery?

Lesley Arrowsmith Oh, if only!

Uh, hello? I was the one who provided the link to the article. Why's Lesley get the praise??? Lesley, set him straight! ;)

Lesley Arrowsmith Sorry - I'll take any praise that comes my way, deserved or not! :)

Alright, alright, I got more food to mention.

Beef and Venison Stew. Snails with honey and garlic.
