message 1: by Robert (new)

Robert Were one to seek to read the entirety of Shakespeare's 38 plays, would he acquire an anthology, or obtain each of the plays separately?

Also, are the 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems written by him Considered worth reading?

Emlen To your first question: there are lots anthologies of the complete works, but most of them will be pretty bulky, so if you're planning to read them on the bus or something, you'll probably want individual plays, or collections of subsets.

To your second question: YES! Especially the sonnets.
