One of the Oz installments deals with a young boy named Tip who all unknowing was originally born as Princess Ozma. He had his gender changed in order to keep him hidden from his enemies.
Imagine if Harry Potter had had that done to him. J. K. Rowling's books would have been a lot more interesting...to me, anyway. :D
Marvelous Land was always my favorite Oz book. (Even though Ozma of Oz is probably the more even experience overall). Though perhaps a spoiler warning?Re: Harriet Potter. I don't know, that might actually give Harriet an interesting personality.
Think I've found it, though there seems to be a lack of online information to pin down/confirm the particular stories I'm interested in. Chick for a Day: What Would You Do If You Were One?
I don't remember if I even read all the stories or just flipped around but I remember at least one story involved a youngish man (who works a drudgery office job?) who wakes up with breasts, goes to work, and falls for/messes around with his best friend. The kicker of the story is that the next morning when he wakes without breasts, he takes a sick day.
Another story involved a female or transgender John Wayne (yes, that John Wayne) who was also an undercover CIA agent? Defeating aliens?... or was it Commies...
