I was tired of seeing one of two representations of NYC and her people. Most shows/movies show the city as either all hoods, dangerous and ghetto or as some glamorized Sex and the City playground. I, like many New Yorkers find these representations repulsive.
My goal is to humanize the forgotten, the lost children, the murderers, the prostitutes, the cops, the politicians... basically, I want to paint the city and expose the nuances of the people who make this place 'breathe' daily.
Since each story only captures at most one day in the life of a character, you get to see all the aspects of the characters.
