I am in the regular Oprah Goodreads group/club. Figured it was only right I join her 2.0 group. I started reading The Twelve Tribes of Hattie and am hooked already. I love to read so my favorite books and authors change often, but I really do have a soft spot in my heart for the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I also enjoy suspense/murder novels by Mary Higgins Clark, and the Jen Lancaster memoirs (still need to read her new fiction though!). I've read all the Emily Giffin novels but I can't say she's a favorite. Other than those off the top of my head, I have a very eclectic list of books I've read and want to read so I can't really narrow down an absolute favorite.

Hi, I'm Julie from Sheboygan, WI - where it is snowing and the waves on the lake are really running today! It's hard to pick a favorite author - I have so many. But I'll pick Shel Silverstein and Carolyn Keene as they were the ones who got me hooked on reading when I was a kid. I always say that "everything I need to know, i learned from Nancy Drew." My favorite book is The Sound and The Fury. I read it in high-school and I had an amazing teacher who walked us through it. They way it is written, different voices for different characters blew me away back then - and still does.

I was given a copy of Cane River which I plan to read again which is one of the books in Oprah's book club and over the holidays I plan to read the trilogy book that has just been released. I will let you know what I think of it after I start to read it.
