Leslie Manning I am joining y'all from the syrupy southeastern part of NC, USA. I am an avid reader, an award-winning author, a private tutor, and a lover of all that makes me laugh and cry, in equal parts. My favorite author is Mitch Albom. My favorite books to read are magical realism or contemporary fiction. Currently, I am reading books with my students (classics until my eyes bleed), so I am re-reading The Pearl by John Steinbeck, a short but wonderful parable, and The Scarlett Letter, an oldie but a goodie. I am on Goodreads as a reader first, and an author second. Stories (and coffee) run through my veins!!!

Deborah Vance Hi everyone. I'm Deb, now living in Cincinnati
There's so much talent here! It's great to be able to commune with other writers, especially after years of being hunkered down writing. It feels indulgent to be able to talk about the finished product!
My debut novel "Sylvie Denied" will come out 2-21-21, available on Amazon, and in the finer bookstores.
Here's a link to my blog site -- I post at least every 10 days. https://deborahclarkvance.com/

Anttimatti Pennanen | 1 comments Hi, I’m Anttimatti.

I am an independent author and publisher from Finland, and I joined GoodReads only recently. I write science fiction filled with adventure, humor, cliffhangers, and thrills without unnecessary bloodshed. I like to mix stories from own experience with my overactive imagination.

As a person, I love coffee, dogs, gaming, movies, great books and diving. Not necessarily in that order. I am ex-army commando, ex-computer engineer and ex-athlete. I burned out 8 years ago as a specialist computer engineer, left with a disability. I have traveled (45 countries) and lived in seven. “What doesn’t kill you... hurts like h*ll.”

Right now, I am in the middle of writing the second novel for Black Table series, where an intergalactic network is explored accidentally by two science fiction nerds.

Fun fact: I spent over 120 days in Orlando Theme parks one winter, as a customer... 🤪

Robert Ciampi | 3 comments Hi and Happy Holidays!
My name is Robert (Bob) C. Ciampi, LCSW. I am a psychotherapist in northern, New Jersey and I have written a book entitled, When to Call a Therapist. It has been my observation for over 20 years in behavioral health that people tend to get into therapy too late. What I mean by that is people suffer unnecessarily for long periods of time before calling a therapist. My book is designed to encourage people to reach out to a therapist sooner rather than later. Healthcare workers are especially encouraged to get into treatment to tell their stories about all they have witnessed during the pandemic.
Thank you,
Robert C. Ciampi, LCSW

message 2642: by [deleted user] (new)

Hello:

I am Wilbur Arron

Wilbur Arron is my pseudonym as I do not write under my real name. In reality, I am a retired Professional Engineer in my late 60s. I have always been interested in writing as a young man and in my career I have published several technical articles in the trade magazines. For the most part, I have had a successful 40 year career in engineering. Most of my work was in designing environmental systems to clean up pollution, but I have also spent time being an environmental regulator as well as doing production-line trouble shooting.

I have written a series of books in a setting similar to Greece of the third century BCE. This are not typical Greek Mythology tales where some guy with heavy muscles beats the snot out of the local monsters while the gods look on. My books are a more accurate representation of life was like during this period with all the problems that existed in that age. My stories follow the character of Alexio Sopholus, a mage student, as he weaves his way through the problems of the age, and how he learns to live with them.

Details are on my web page of https://www.wilburarron.com

Thanks
