Hi everyone. I am from the South West of England. I am a reader/author. I like both fiction and non-fiction and am particularly interested in the American Revolution and the French Revolution.I have many favorite authors ranging from John Wyndham to Daphne du Maurier. Recently I have really enjoyed 'Outlander' by Diana Gabaldon.
I am Jacqueline from London UK. I do enjoy reading and I am also an author. I read both fiction and non-fiction books. Thanks for the invitation to the group.
Hi, my name is Alex. I am Austrian but live in Australia. I love the sun, ocean, kitesurfing and well... reading (sci-fi and spirituality).Last year I thought I'll give it a try and start writing - I've been thinking about writing a book - a mix of classical sci-fi, environmental and spiritual topics - for some time and last October it suddenly felt like the right time to get started. So... voila... I have finished two books and self-published on Amazon only about a month ago (Title: Humans and other Aliens). Working on a third book right now and still loving it.
Regards,
Alex
Hi, My Name is Imogen. I'm 19 years old and I generally enjoy reading Young Adult the most. 1. Where are you joining us from?
I'm from the UK
2. What is your favourite book or author?
I don't have a favourite author but my favourite books are The Fault in our Stars by John Green, The Divergent series by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins & Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.
1. Where are you joining us from?Hey, there! My name is Malisa, and I am from Ogden, Utah.
I must say, just scrolling through this thread, there is an immense amount of diversity! I love that we have the technology available to us to all "get together" and share common interests.
2. What is your favorite book or author?
As a child, I had a passion for reading anything and everything. Finishing graduate school a few years back and starting my career, I have since fallen away from my passions relating to the literature arts. I joined this group, and GoodReads in general, in hopes that I could slowly gain that back. I have always been a fan of F. Scott Fitzgerald's writing and Jodi Picoult. I really love classics and autobiographies; I am admittedly not a huge fan of fantasy. I'm not sure that I could name a single favorite title, though.
Hi May:A wonderful book for you to read would be Smell The Raindrops by BA Austin. It is available on Amazon and listed on Goodreads. It is an Intimate Memoir of her life and it is a journey which includes privilege, heartbreak, addiction, recovery, triumph, inspiration, courage, and strength. If you like genuine human interest stories then you will love this book by this remarkable woman.
