message 2066: by Brian (new)

Brian Wutz | 2 comments Happy New Year! I'm Brian! I'm a longtime writer but new fiction author from Nashville, TN. I've recently discovered Goodreads and am working to find my way around!

I definitely do not have one favorite author but I recently read D.M. Pulley's The Dead Key (2014 Hit) and would recommend it to anyone interested in Mystery / Thriller novels. Of course it is easy to identify with the author, a structural engineer turned author who was inspired by her work on an abandoned building and the discovery of basement vault rumored to have hundreds of unclaimed safe deposit boxes.

Feel free to reach out to me on Goodreads or on Facebook @TheJingo.

message 2072: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 55 comments Welcome all. I sadly didn't meet my 2016 reading challenge goals. So I just read 9 out of 20 books so I went with what was left to read on my list to hit that 20 mark but starting at 11 seems more doable right now. Right now I am reading 4 books at once well not all at the same time that probably be a bit confusing onmy part LOL. I am reading Warm Bodies, and Pope Francis a year for Mercy the blue book one., Dorren Virtue two of her books (She's one of my favorite Authors) Earth Angels How to be assertive, and all that, and the Big book of Tarot. So there is my four I have to complete, It was hard for the other book I also have on my list to read to get through and that one is Men are from Mars and women are from Venus. But I will muddle through that one eventually.

message 2073: by Ann (new)

Ann | 1 comments Hi my name is Ann I live in the south. I love to read and have all my life. I have always enjoyed books from Oprah's book club. My favorite is The Poisonwood Bible. I am looking forward to being a part of this group.

message 2074: by Brandy (new)

Brandy (brandyrn) Hi, I'm Brandy from the Pacific Northwest. I "read" via Audible. So, I actually "listen" much more than I sit down with a paperback book. I take the bus to work, so I get a lot of listening time. More recently, I've also been listening on Bluetooth when doing things around the house. I used to read a LOT, then nursing school ruined my love for reading and I didn't read "for pleasure" for the next 9 years! I typically listen to a book every 4-5 days, although my goal for 3017 is 3 books per month, to allow for some longer titles. I've read some of the books on Oprah's list, but have a lot more if I want to read the entire list.

message 2075: by Judith (new)
