Becca Howdy! I'm Becca from Austin, TX. I've been watching Oprah for years and I've known that she's had a book club; I'm just happy to see I'm able to join now. I'm intrigued by everyone's different reading style and would like to branch out one page at a time. I love authors Janet Evonovich and Aleatha Romig

message 1553: by Cydnee (new)

Cydnee (cydneejo) | 1 comments Hello from Atlanta! My name is Cydnee and I am thrilled to be a part of something positive in the Ethernet! Great to meet thousands of fellow readers.

I read multiple books at once depending on my mood. Currently in progress on the Kindle are:

Truly Madly Guilty
Stalin's Daughter
Infinite Jest (don't know if I'll ever get through this oddity)
Mindset
Immunity to Change
Ask for It
NeuroTribes

Have to admit the fiction and thrillers are more captivating during these summer months. Loved, loved, loved the first two in Stephen King's trilogy starting with Mr. Mercedes. Saving the third for a treat.

Look forward to getting tips on great books.

Bea (besan) | 2 comments Hi! My name is Bea and I am joining you from Sweden. I find it very difficult to name a favourite book since it changes over time. When I was young and started to explore books it was Astrid Lindgren who was my favourite. But it changes. All the time. Which I think is a good thing. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to explore new/old authors and books. But I do love Steinbeck and John Irving.

Fave authors - Kate Morton, Diana Gabaldon, Mark Billingham, Lisa Genova, Liane Moriarty, Louise Candlish and many more.

Fave books - Still Alice, The Book Thief, Outlander Series, all of Kate Morton's, The Disappearance of Emily Marr, The Light Between Oceans, Big Little Lies and my latest fave, I'm Travelling Alone by Samuel Bjork - brilliant!

I am constantly reading something, usually fiction and this past year have been reading books specifically to the Rory Gilmore book list. I've found some that there is no way I will ever finish because of the subject matter and others have been great finds and made me feel happy that i started reading this list or i never would have attempted reading those specific authors. I look forward to some interesting learning!
