message 1370: by Rahul (new)

Rahul Deokar | 1 comments Hello everyone,

My name is Rahul Deokar and I am an India-born author, who grew up in Juhu, a western suburb of Mumbai, famous for its sprawling beach and home to Bollywood celebrities. I graduated with top honors from VJTI, one of the oldest (founded in 1887) engineering colleges in Asia. I emigrated to USA as a student pursuing a Masters in Computer Engineering and later an MBA at Iowa State University, New York University, and Santa Clara University. I rode the customary roller coaster start-up journey in the Silicon Valley technology industry, being eventually acquired by a leading software company. Today as a seasoned executive, the excitement of innovation and passion continue to enthrall me.

In my debut novel, I bring together two worlds, and take you on a thrilling romantic adventure where East meets West, technology talks to tradition, and hope dances with despair. I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my loving Wife 1.0 and two adorable kids.

message 1374: by Christine (new)

Christine Gabriel (christinegabriel) | 3 comments Well howdy all! I'm Christine Gabriel, a newly Bestselling Author/Reader of all genres girl from cold, snowy Ohio! (Go Buckeyes!) I'm recently going through a not so fun divorce and am looking for books to take my mind away from the everyday drama and heartache it has brought me. I'm a single mother of 4(they certainly keep me busy,) and without reading, I would probably go to the crazy house ;)

Something amazing did happen recently that put a smile on my face. My book, Crimson Forest, was recently released and hit Best Seller this past weekend.(I may have cried a little bit.) That little bit of light shining through my recent dark times was much needed.

I'm also a blogger and publicist, so I make reading my life. One of the most amazing feelings is not being able to leave the world another author has put inside your head. It truly is one of the best feeling in the world. So bring on the books! I'm ready!!

So! It's nice to meet everyone(waves!) Oh, and sorry for rambling :)
