I read a lot- am in three live book clubs. Also, I love tennis, food and travel- hoping to go to Iceland for my 40th in Sept!

This is the first book that I have read for pleasure in a long time. I am usually reading work related things. This is an excellent welcome back to reading, Irene book. It is hard to put it down.

That is a great book that I haven't read in many years...maybe it's time for a re-read. Another good book in the same genre is "Sounder," which is also a pretty good movie.

I read it so long ago, but the characters and story are still with me. I love books about women's struggles, their strength, and what they're learning on their journey. This is the area where Mitera, Zoroastrianism and Judaism religion started. The Airyanem civilization started 8000 years before Greek and Jewish civilization.

We just finished novel book about “Queen Vashti” and working on the novel book about “Queen Esther”.

Just recently finished reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel and The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory.

Favorite author is hard, but I've always profoundly loved Kurt Vonnegut's books. Right now I'm reading Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity, which is so shocking and powerful.
