Hi, I'm Brenda from NJI have more than one favorite book but I loved The Secret Life of Bee's
One of my favorite authors is James Patterson the Alex Cross series. I just finished reading Dubliners by James Joyce, so I like alot of different genres.
Looking foward to reading The Twelve Tribes of Hattie...
I'm Roberta, I joined from Plymouth, Indiana. My all time favorite author is Rex Stout. Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin are old friends of mine.
Oddly enough my favorite book is not a Stout novel but "To Kill a Mockingbird". Scout reminds me alot of myself at that age so I feel for her.
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels make me laugh out loud. Sue Grafton's Kinsey Milhone and I go way back. Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta is like family and John Sandford's Lucas Davenport is my hero.
My favorite gifts to give or receive are books.
My name is Dana and I am from New Jersey. I really don't have a favorite author anymore, I read what ever speaks to me. I do enjoy all the Oprah book selections though.
Hey Friends! My name is Sean Martinelli, and I'm one of the founding members of OWN Ambassadors. I'm from Poughkeepsie, NY, but currently attend Syracuse University. Looking forward to sharing thoughts about this great book! I'm almost finished!

Hello from NJ! While I've been active on goodreads for a number of years, I found out about this wonderful bookclub on twitter (through an invite)!
I have favorite books more so than favorite authors.
Hey I'm Serena residing in Charlotte, NC. I work in a library which from the time I was a little girl was a dream lol. I love urban fiction, YA and biographies. My goal next year is to read more classics. I'm only into the second chapter of The Twelve Tribes of Hattie right now and I'm already in love with it. It has tugged at my heart strings already.
Good Morning Everyone: I live in East Toronto and looking to start a little "in person" book group to meet once a month. Would be lovely if someone on this group was in the area and wanted to join us.I finished Hattie in only a couple of sittings. Just could NOT put it down. Now have read the reading guide and Oprah's notes.

Hi my name is Jim Burns and I'm from San Gabriel, Calif., just south of Pasadena.Just finished Erik Larson's "In the Garden of Beasts," which chronicles the early years of Hitler in Berlin through the eyes of a U.S. ambassador. Amazing read.
Hi. I'm Helen from New Zealand. I tend to read a lot of crime fiction - but I'm trying to broaden my horizons by joining good reads and this book club. I'm a teacher and it's our summer holiday so the perfect opportunity. Loving the book so far.
OBC: Thank you. The first passage was such an OMGosh moment that it stunned, if you will, to really a great need to read more. You were looking for a redeeming feature "somewhere". This writer is very young but has such an understanding of human nature that it is hard to believe in someone so young. I would love to tell some of my favourite parts but I am afraid of ruining the story for others. There are so many parts that have great meaning and depth.
There is one for me though and I will have to tell it after everyone has finished reading.
Hello my name is Conner. I always choose Oprah for my book reports and biography projects for school! She is such an inspiring figure and she helps countless people.

Hello! My name is Jettie Necole. I'm from Kentucky. I write fiction and love reading any story with great character depth. My favorite books usually have a science fiction or a romantic element to the storyline. Growing up I loved reading books that were too adult for me: Gone with the Wind, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Wuthering Heights, Interview with the Vampire, and anything to do with Christopher Pike. Currently, I enjoy any book that makes me fall in love with each character, even the most flawed.
G'day, my name is Sarah and I live in Sydney, Australia. My favourite author has to be my gorgeous husband, Chris Allen who's writing his third Alex Morgan Intrepid action thriller (but I have to say he's my favourite, really, don't I ;) - as a child and still as an adult my top author of all time is Roald Dahl who wrote gorgeously wacky kids tales and equally quirky, sometimes dark and always interesting adult short stories. Love OBC and happy to see a few Aussies introducing themselves here too :)

More contemporary writers in the area of wellness and spiritual healing such as Queen Afua and Dr Muata Ashby as well. I am looking forward to building with like minds
