Introductions
I have done a fair bit of family history on the Cheney side, back to 1595 so far. There is a book on my mothers family, and one on my wife family been written as well

Hi Lauren from another American expat, living in France. I've never even heard of a book group here, although they must exist. But that would mean reading in French...not that I can't, I just prefer reading in English! Good luck with your move.

Hello everyone!! IM Natalia from Spain but Im now living in Glasgow :) Im am studying Microbiology and I love to read whatever I can find. Hope to get some great recommendations xD
Hi Lynne, welcome to the group. I am massive Iain Banks fan, of both his fiction and science fiction. Such a shame that he has now passed away.
Hi, I'm Lisa. I'm kind of new to GoodReads, but looking forward to book discussions figuring out how to navigate. Not sure I'm reading what others are reading, but I'm game to find out.
Hello Lisa, glad to have you in the group. Good Reads takes a little while to sus out, but it fairly straight forward. Have a look at the recommendations part, which suggests books based on items on your shelves, or have a trawl through my shelves!
Thanks, Paul. I see you have multiple shelves. I haven't figured those out yet and am only using the default. It would be nice to keep up with all the books I'd like to get to, just don't know if I have the time to sit down and enter the data.
Thanks, Elizabeth. I saw your group in the list today and was attracted by the classics challenge and the general welcome to all. Don't really know how to do groups, yet, but wanted a friendly group to help me learn. :)
Hello everybody. I'm Sue and new to this site. Having recently relocated to SW France one thing I miss is a good book discussion / recommendations etc., so I'm really delighted to be here.Enjoy all those old f#rty type things - cooking, gardening (sorry - no sky-diving for me!!) and have always been a voracious reader. Mostly fiction, some biography - rarely autobiography - I've read too many that have disappointed, or left me really disliking someone I have hitherto admired! Not good at fantasy or Sci-fi either.
Looking forward to some challenging discussions.
Welcome to the group Susan. I love cooking and gardening too :). Absolutely no sky diving for me either!
Hi, I'm Wendy, have been on Goodreads a while now but have only just joined this group. I will read pretty much anything, but particularly like historical books- both fact and fiction- am trying to catch up with my classic reading and also enjoy reading (and seeing!) plays. My reading time has recently been cut back significantly though due to the arrival of my lovely little girl. Looking forward to having a go at some of the challenges.

Hello everyone! I'm Jasmine. I live in India and I'm 16. I'm a total bibliophile! I love poetry and literature too. I write a lot of poems. I would like it if some of you could visit it, I would really appreciate it.

Hello there, I'm Lynsey. I'm an Okie who will read pretty much anything, and am fueled by the aroma of book pulp and/or fresh ink. I've been on Goodreads for a bit now, but only just discovered the book groups while looking for something local. Thanks for having me! :D

Hi all,My name is Kathy. I live in central Florida with my husband, teenage son, a cat and a dog. Most of my real life friends read YA almost exclusively. While I have nothing against the genre, it's not what I usually choose to read, so I can't really talk books with my friends.
I look forward to participating in a group as diverse as this one.
Hi everyone! My name is Tonya and I live in Indiana. I've been a bookworm all of my life and go into a slight panic when I don't have a book nearby. I love to read almost anything and like the mix of books that is being chosen as monthly reads. I'm looking forward to hopping in and particpating when I can.
