Hey all!!I am Utkarsh Kulkarni..,from Pune,India..,Goodreads really proves a point-'A book can certainly a man's best friends'..,happy to be a part of the group and a goodreads user... :)
Hello there. I am Karen from Nottingham. I am a single parent to two autistic boys, a photographer and I do lots of volunteering. I am also dyslexic and a bit of a slow reader but it has never stopped me. I love reading and I love finding new authors to read.
Hi all!How is it going?
I Ibrahim, but you can call me William. I'm from the Middle East, specifically from Yemen! I would be happy if I got to know new people here. !
I'm trying to find someone who can help me to write novels!
Thank you
Hi all. I'm Lauren. I'm an American married to a Brit. We currently live in Atlanta, GA, but are on our way back to the UK (via Durango, Colorado!). I'm on the go too much to enjoy a traditional book club, so this one looks like a great option!
Excellent, lovely area of the world. I've lived in the UK before, but never on the coast - looking forward to it!
Perhaps we'll manage a non-virtual edition of the book club some day.So I see there are 3 books all with the same start and end date - do we typically read all three or just choose one or two of interest as time permits?
Just choose what you feel like reading and post on the discussion thread when you've finished it, preferably hiding any spoilers! We have a fiction and a non-fiction choice each month, and the classic read which is every other month.
The classic read alternates between a book written before 1900 and a book written after 1900. Hopefully that makes sense? The next one will be one written before 1900.
Oh and yes, a non-virtual meet up occasionally could be interesting? There's quite a few of us on here from Dorset!
Got it, thanks - sounds easy enough! I've seen the Silver Linings movie recently (loved it!), so will probably hold off on reading that until my poor memory kicks in. Will start with The Color Purple, as I've never read it and have been meaning to for ages. It'll be a while before we're settled over there, but I'd love to meet up with you all eventually!
Thanks for the warm welcome, all.

Hello! I'm Alissa I'm 26 and have just joined the group. I'm from Australia and I'm a Registered Nurse in ICU.
I love a mixture of books but mainly stick to popular and contemporary fiction.
I'm currently reading John Green The Fault in our Stars which I'm already loving after only a few chapters in.
I've been on Goodreads for awhile now but have only just started to join groups and interact more :)
Hello my name is Courtney. I love reading a lot! That's why I'm on this site. And would love to chat and make some friends on here. I've been reading aa lot of teen books recently, but I want to be familiar to some classics. If anyone has some good recomindations let me know!
Hi everyone! I'm Jhae and yes I am a girl, although my nickname sounds like a boy's name. :) I would love to make new friends here. I'm 22 and from the Philippines.I am currently reading Prodigy by Marie Lu and I am loving the suspense and action! :)

Just saw this, thank you! Will there be a "classics" choice for July?

Thank you for your greeting, Paul. I was just wondering if there will be a classics choice for July.

OK...I just found an answer to my question about the classics. Maybe with all the new members, there could be a choice every month? Alternating between pre-1900 and post-1900? Just an idea! Even if people don't have time to read them, a lot of us probably HAVE read them, so we could exchange vague memories too...?

Sorry, just found my answer to that question about the classics -- see answer to Elizabeth above.
Welcome to all new Vipers! We have a really eclectic crowd so I'm looking forward to some great book chat.
