Introductions
Hi - I just jumped straight in without introductions! I'm Kirsty, I'm in Leeds, UK. I'm a member of three book clubs (two themed, one anything goes) but read a lot outside the clubs too. I have a particular leaning to fantasy novels and history non-fic. Hello!
Paul wrote: "Hi Ruby. Welcome to the group. Whereabouts are you in China at the moment?"I'm in Beijing. I am studying Chinese for a year and then returning to the States to finish my bachelor's.
Welcome all. Ruby, I envy you the opportunity to live in such a different culture and learn the language. I say that because I'm a Spanish interpreter by trade and have never lived in a Spanish-speaking country. Hope it's filled with fascinating experiences.
Hello everyone, I am Emma and I live in Maine in the US. I'm a recent college graduate and am working as a Spanish teacher. I love to read and have been following along for quite a while. Really enjoying this group.
Good Morning! I'm Jo. I'm an author and I love reading a variety of books. That's what attracted me to this group. I'm looking forward to participating in your discussions and perhaps reading books I might not have otherwise read.
Hi everyone, I'm Raven. An avid reader and occasional scribbler, I'm really looking forward to being introduced to books I might not have picked up on my own :)
Hi, I am Sue and saw the Group mentioned on MN, where I am FiveShelties.I love to read, especially crime novels. I am currently reading Heavenfield by L J Ross, the third in the series and just loving it. Hoping to try new genres and thought the Group would be a good place to get lots of recommendations.
Welcome to Book Vipers Sue. We have three different books a month that you can read or not. That should give you lots of variety.
Thank you very much for the welcome - this could be a very bad move as I have already scribbled down another 8 books I want to read!
Hi everyone, I'm Story and like Raven, I'm an avid reader and sometimes writer. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and to discussing books.

How can one resist to join a group called "Book Vipers"? I have way too many TBR books in my library, endless lists (all saying "THE List) to read and not enough time. Hopefully the good company of fellow readers will remedy the issue. I'm a hopeless bibliophile/book addict from northern California, but fortunately long hikes and adventures outdoors balance my passion for the written word. Nature is enchanting in every way. I noticed that there are all kinds of interesting threads on the site! Nicely done as they certainly catch my attention. I probably won't join the discussion until September, but I still wanted to say hello!
Welcome Haaze. you've come to the wrong place though, my tbr list was 10 books when I joined, now it's over 1000. :-)
Thanks Paul and Jason! I figure that I cannot fight the "tidal wave" of books so I rather get carried along wherever it will take me (as long as I can stay afloat). I will stay afloat, right? Right.....?

Welcome Haaze. We love reading here and are a friendly, happy lot. That's helped by lovely moderators. Even if we are grumpy and unhappy we love reading. I'm afraid the dusty book challenge has ended, although some of us have started our own. Challenges are always exciting. Enjoy
@PatDusty book challenges never end..... ; -)
@Jason
Could you please send the blueprints? It is urgent!!!
I am Laura from Glasgow. I have been a member of this group for ages but had gotten out of the way of reading, two young children and work and a fried mental capacity will do that to you. Glad to say I am getting my reading mojo back. Thank you to this group for giving me plenty inspiration for reading also challenging me to read things which I might not have picked up otherwise. Always good to broaden the field.
Great to have you here. I remember the days when 5 minutes reading before sleep was all I could manage, when children were young. I didn't do any before I set myself a goal of 5 mins. I loved those 5 mins.
Hello everyone. I joined Goodreads years ago but am only just starting to use it for more than keeping track of my books. I love a good bookish conversation so this group seems ideal.
