Pat, it's a fantastic story isn't it? I'm over the halfway mark now, can't wait to find out what happens, yet part of me doesn't want to ever get to the end!Do you know when the tv adaptation is on Cathy?

Can't find any info about a date, Sarah. There's a readalong and discussion over on Mumsnet at the moment about the book, in anticipation of the tv show - link here;

Sarah i enthused over it too. I thought it was just me. It is an odd book though. My son lent it to me years ago and said he thought I might like it. He was correct.
Hi I am Nichole. I live in Washington state and am married with 3 children. I am love many different types of books but the classics are my favorite. Nice to meet you all.
Hi Nichole! I am Jackie, I live in Delaware with my husband and two children (one is away at college), and four cats. I got into a very bad years-long habit of reading only light mysteries for fifteen minutes before falling asleep at night. The Book Vipers has led me to discover many different types of book and I feel like my love of reading has been rekindled at the grand old age of 53. I hope you enjoy the group as much as I do.
Hi, I'm Jon from sunny and dry California. I'll read just about anyting, but my about 1/2 of the books on my bookshelves are either mysteries or sci-fi. Big movie buff and obsessive music fan also.
...Mh, I was sure I did introduce myself, but apparently I didn't. Sorry!I'm Samantha, I live in Germany and study German Literature and Computational Linguistics at the University of Trier (actually on the brink of graduating, half a month left).
I love reading, of course, and movies (at my uni I'm part of a group that runs a cinema).
I'm an outdoors girl, riding my bike or rowing is my favourite passtime in the summer. I love to travel (mostly the UK, because I love it so much I always come back for more).
My reading taste is undergoing some change at the moment. I started to read more fantasy again and less classics, although I still enjoy them. I've never been a big fan of crime or romance, though. Everything else could end up on my shelves.

It's nice to visit but not as nice to live :)
I'm glad to move on this summer (hopefully to Bonn).
InterRail is the best thing I've ever done, I hope you enjoyed your trip just as much!
@Pat Good to meet you too!
Sam wrote: "nterRail is the best thing I've ever done, I hope you enjoyed your trip just as much!"Yep, it was great, I'd recommend it to everyone. Three weeks and seven countries, about 20 towns. It was also a bit different because I was travelling alone, so I had the freedom to do whatever I wanted. (I also loved my Deuter backpack, just perfect for travelling. You develop a relationship with your backpack when you pack and carry it almost every day.)

I absolutely agree! Got myself a Deuter too before we headed for our interrail adventure (I went with my boyfriend). I imagine it must be very different traveling on your own. Once I spent 10 days alone in Berlin and I got so homesick! So I salute you for your bravery!
Hi! I'm Christ Lewis. I'm an author of self-help books. I love to read self-help and self-improvement books. Nice to know you all.Christ Lewis
Hello all, I'm Absinthe but you can call me Kit. I am looking forward to being a part of a group that actively discusses books (a lot of other groups on here are for other things). I read a decent amount (about 5-6 books on average a month). I hope to get to know you all a bit better
Hi Jon, Samantha, Christ, Kit, and Stephanie,Just trying to play catch up today. I would like to offer a big warm booky welcome to all you lovely new folks.
Hope you've been enjoying your time in this lovely group xx
Hi everybody!I'm Stacy and I'm from Los Angeles. I used to be a member of Book Vipers some months ago before taking a hiatus from all Goodreads groups. Now that I'm back, this is the first group I've rejoined because of how much I remember loving participating in it. Glad to be back and looking forward to getting to know you all :)
Hi everyone! Was just fiddling around on goodreads when your group popped up because First Fifteen lives is on my "to read" list. Anyway, saw some of the camaraderie and realized it's been YEARS since I was part of a group like this, as well as how much I've missed it.So please, welcome this expatriate Texan who lives in Germany. I'll try to get to Fifteen lives before the end of the month, but that may be a little ambitious.
Hey y'all.
Stutt
Welcome, Stutty. I'm an ex-pat Texan living in North Carolina. I miss the people, but I don't miss the heat.
