Thank you all!@Jason that means that I take x-ray pictures and CT scans all day ;-) (I don´t have another English word for it)
Hi, Ella, another Nordic hereI think Iceland is one of those countries I have yet to conquer "literally", but I do already have Salka Valka and Mýrin by Arnaldur (do you use the first name like that?) as BookCrossing books. Trouble is that they are not the only ones that I have...
Hey everyone, my name is Jason and am new to Goodreads. I'm also new to writing. As a career I work as a mental health therapist for a community clinic serving lower income and minority clients. I've been doing this work for about three years now. Because of the nature of this work, I spend quite a bit of time thinking about themes that keep coming up in therapy in hopes that I might understand them, and my clients, better and offer them a better service as a result. I usually write out my thoughts when doing this and one time, while doing this, ended up writing an outline for a story. It was really kind of that random, honestly. So, seeing as how I had the foundation for a story, I wrote the whole thing out and had a ton of fun doing it. Now that it's done I'm here to talk with other writers and readers so I can try to develop my writing ability.Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. Nice to meet you all.

Yes we always use first names here in Iceland and introduce ourselves with our first names.
I think we do have some good authors here so you should absolutely start to conquer Iceland "literally" :-)

What book are you reading?
Yeah, I was aware of that name thing, it's just feels a bit different. (Of course we rarely use lastnames in our daily lives, either, but it's normal when talking about authors, for example.)Ella wrote: "I think we do have some good authors here so you should absolutely start to conquer Iceland "literally" :-)"
So many countries have... I have been trying to find good books in different languages and from different countries. I just have to find the right book that suits my mood at that time, and then I will read it. Actually I have only recently started reading more Finnish books, too, so we'll see what happens.

I have been widening my "reading" horizon these past months and I love it.
Good luck and you may please let me know if you find something interesting.
Recently I noticed that The Blue Fox changed readers at our BookCrossing meetup, so I added it to my wishlist and will probably get it sooner or later. It's always easier when you have the book at hand. And it's short so won't take a lot of time, and a prize winner, so...

The problem is I don´t like his personality, he seriously get´s on my nerve, so...but let me know what you think of it and who knows, if you like it, I might try to not let my dislike for him stop me from reading it.

Hi Everyone
I've been lurking around for awhile, trying to decide what groups to join. There is such a selection at GR, it's really hard to choose .
I thought now would be a good time to sign up in here, since I just saw your 2 new challenges .They both sound good , the one, for reading a wider variety of books to fill in the slots , the other for making myself read what I already own . I have about 300 books that need read before buying any more .
* I'll have to break that rule to get the first one that is required ,but just ordered it from Amazon , so it will arrive before 1-1-15 ,so I will count it as an already owned book also !
This sounds like a friendly bunch .
Can't wait to get to know you all better .

Welcome to Book Vipers Julie. The second challenge is one I created as I have loads to read that I haven't got to yet.
Thank you for the welcome, Paul and Jason .
It seems that most of us booklovers have the same "problem" .
We gather them faster than we read them ! Maybe your new challenge will motivate me to read what I have before purchasing more .
