Hello Vipers!!! I am a fairly new member to GoodReads. I have been a voracious reader my whole life, greedily consuming the ingredients on cereal boxes when nothing else was available. In the past few years I've slowed down a bit, but I am excited to reconnect with my old favorites and find some new ones. I am also an author and painter and have started playing the fiddle and am excited to make some new friends. (And I have a day job that I seem to always forget about.) :)

Hi all. I'm Chantal from the Philippines. :) Loved the Book Vipers right off the bat and I particularly enjoy the reading challenges! I've decided to take on "Book Viper 2013 Challenge" and am now reading Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood for the task 'a novel translated into English'.Cheers everyone! ^_^

Hi everyone, I'm Phil. I've lived in the UK for the last six or seven years.I'm a musician, author and publisher, and have been trying to get back to reading for pleasure after having lost touch with the reason I ever wanted to work in this industry in the first place. In the last year, I've probably only picked up 7 novels at the most for pleasure, without any professional pressures. This needs to be corrected.
Looking forward to discussing what I'm reading.

Hi, I joined about 2 weeks ago and while I picked up one of the July reads, The War of the Worlds, I haven't gotten around to introducing myself yet. I am a 32 year old high school English teacher from NJ. I read contemporary fiction, historical fiction, young adult and classics mostly.
Aside from reading I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, I have a 6 year old Maltese and recently adopted a 3 year old Shih Tzu. I also love being creative and dabble in jewelry making, stamping, mixed media art and floral design.
I look forward to being part of this group. I like the variety in the reads you have.
