Am I the only one that thought Nora and Patch were ugly names? Doesn't the name Nora sound a bit nerdy? And isn't Patch a dog's name?

To be honest, I was kinda thrown off with Patches name because he's supposed to be really bad-A and hot, but the name doesn't really go with that. And Nora...well...yeah it did sound kinda nerdy, haha. I tried not to let the names bother me too much, but I thought about it a lot. It doesn't change my opinion on the book though, haha. :P

in our translation, Patch is Folt... at first I thought its weird but I think it kinda fits him. Nora's name isn't mentioned a lot since it's from her point of view, so I actually can't imagine her having this name. but the name itself is pretty by me.and jev, well, jev is just no. so is blythe.
but i really like 'vee', and the fact that these are unusual names.

I like the name Jev it's unique but i mean i wouldn't name my kid that but its not an ugly name and I like nora too, it's not really nerdy, nerdy would be like Eugene
I didn't really like the books, but now that you've mentioned it...i adored their names!
I thought Patch was a stupid name but then it had a meaning behind it.
the name "nora" reminds me of the mouse from "Timothy goes to school" (a preschooler show i used to watch when I was little)I can't help but get reminded of that when I hear the name. Patch reminds me of pumpkins. Its so weird and its kinda' suits him in a strange way

I think all the names are really great because the names don't define the characters. Nora turned out to be really badass and Patch sounds like a bad boy's name, so does Jev. And Chauncey is a good name for someone who was born way back in the 16th century! And Blakely and Dante are really cool names!!! I liked all the names in these books, I think they were perfect for their characters!!!
Me too i liked the names they were unique and i really liked that and Chauncey is a good name for someone born way back then and i also like Vee's name it's different and i liked rixon's name too and i thought the names were just really cool
They were weird names, and they sound like some kids tv show - Patch and Nora, Nora and Patch. But I liked the nickname Patch. It could be worse - Nora could have been called Spot.
nora is an ify name but i love the name patch/jev!suits him well i think
Most angels have 'iel' in their names. I.E. Gabriel, Uriel, Seraphiel etc. Jev doesn't sound very angelic. And Patch is probably the stupidist name I've ever heard for an angel or anything else.

i hate noras name before i thought patch was a dog name but after reading the whole series its not for me anymore

I'm fine with Patch and Jev, but I think Nora is a little out-dated.

She's supposed to be the normal girl who's good in school and doesn't disobey her mom or teachers. Patch changes that. I don't really get the Jev thing because it doesn't really fit him and it's not used ver often. Patch seemed really strange until the story about the nickname's origin was told. It made a little more sense then. Still doesn't seem very "bad boy", though. I don't know what would be better. He has a soft side so something like 'Crush' or something reall tough wouldn't fit later on. I think Patch shows that he used to like fighting (tough) and that he always lost (soft side). It's an interesting idea to think about.

True the names are different and jev does kinda sound like an evil angel name but hey it fits he was a fallen angel i mean he wasn't evil but he fell from heaven. But the series is different and i think it's sorta fitting that the names would be unique or different too.

yeah i kinda stopped likeing rixon when he tried to kill nora but hey he was still a pretty cool guy aside from that. And i love this series i have nothing bad to say about it i think the story is good and unique and like i said i like the names and i love patch and nora together and i didnt like it when they were apart but i didnt hate it that fact just made the story interesting and good but yeah it was a great series
yes it was its just weird the are original names so why diss them even if they are your own opinions

Patch was just his nick name and it is bad because he got in fights and had to be patched up hence the name Patch
