Sandi (sandikal) | 1212 comments I'm having this problem right now too. I seem to recall it having happened once before and it took a few weeks to get resolved. People with other editions of the Nook weren't having the problem. There was a problem one time too with not being able to access the wishlist.

I'm probably going to be getting a new Nook for Christmas. My 1st edition is starting to have battery problems and you can't get the battery anymore.

Jonathan | 185 comments No clue on the first edition. I have a color and I haven't been running into issues. Barnes & Noble does have online chats with their Nook experts or you could go into a B&N and ask in person. They'd probably be able to help out.

If you go to B&N "experts", they tell you to reset the Nook to the factory settings. That totally screws up the order of your library and you have to re-download all your books. Resetting to factory settings is their stock answer for everything and it doesn't work. They had this same problem in January and it took weeks for it to get resolved. Here's a link the thread about the current issue on the B&N forums:

It seems like this problem is isolated to first edition Nooks.

If I didn't have so many unread books on my Nook, I'd be asking my husband to get me a Kobo reader from my favorite indie bookstore. They have a thing going with Kobo that allows them to make money on e-books that you buy on a Kobo Reader purchased through that store. I saw the readers last night and I was much more impressed with them than the Nook.
