What is the R&R Program

The Read & Review Program is designed with authors in mind. Our goal is to help indie and self-published authors promote their books.

How Does It Work

The authors who are involved with R&R Program graciously give out e-copies of their books to be read and reviewed within a specific time period (4 to 6 weeks). In exchange for that free book, the author receives an honest review of their book.

Who can participate in R&R Prgram?

Anyone can participate in our R&R program. All you have to do is join David Estes Fans and YA Book Lovers Unite! on Goodreads and look for the R&R Program link to sign up either as an author or a reader/reviewer.

The fine print…

By receiving a free e-book to be reviewed, you agree to the following:

- You will read and give an honest review of the book in the given time frame.

- You will post your review to at least Goodreads, but preferably Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords,and other online book retailers also.

- You will not share this e-book with anyone! It is illegal to share the books you receive for review, so do not do it!

Update 4/22/2013:

Goodreads review guidelines (and federal law) require that if you receive a free copy of a book, you must disclose that in your Goodreads review. Please make sure you are stating in your reviews if you have received the book free from the David Estes Fans and YA Book Lovers Unite! group and/or the author in exchange for a honest review.

That's a great reminder Tana! That goes for posting reviews on book sites like Amazon, Barnes & Noble etc. some sites will remove reviews if they don't contain disclosure of free books received, which really hurts the authors. So please remember that! Thank you all so much, us authors are nothing without all the amazing readers out there ;)

How exactly do you sign up to review books? I see the Author Sign up page and then I see the schedule, but I don't know how to sign up to actually review the book.

Hi Ariel, thanks for your interest in the program :) Any books that are currently being offered for review are here:

You can click into them and if any looks interesting, you leave your email address and what format you prefer and the author or Tana will provide you with the book for you to review :)

Tana also sends our group messages (make sure your settings are set so you get messages) for any new books being offered with links to the sign ups :)

Hi Everyone - I am a bit behind on my scheduling of the Read and Review Books, I moved and my new house for some odd reason is not internet friendly so I have been without internet for almost a month. I get it and then it doesn't work. I even switch computers. So this week I am having the cable company come in and run new lines I should be up and running later this week and get everything all caught up. Sorry for the inconvenience and I will be contacting everyone soon.

I hope this gets to someone who will be interested and can tell me what the author needs to do. She is desperately in need of her new, upcoming story, Night Court getting some attention. The release date is December 13th and her stories are clean, no vulgarlanguage or graphic sex scenes. She usually post about her books on her own blog but she just lost her job and is depending on her books to help with money. She knows that impossible but she really needs attention brought to her new story and even any or all of her other books. All of her books are available on Audible. If anyone is interested in reading and reviewing and if her books She will gift you a copy or send you the ebook. My favorite book by her is Growl on Audible. I love that story. I'm helping her so anyone in the group that has a blog and can post something on it, it can be small and you don't have to read the story but you will still be provided a copy of the book. She just needs some attention brought to the release of Night Court. Of anyone that has a blog is interested please message me. I'll post Ashley's information on here as well. I'm looking for the form for author's to get her to fill out but I do have her permission to fill it out for her. I'm not getting paid to help her, I'm doing it from my heart. I don't want her to stop writing because I love her stories. She has two stories, The Lie and Number Seventy-Five being made into movies. I don't have a clue when they'll be available and coming to theatres.


Time is closing in fast to release day for Night Court on December 13th. While the preorder price is still only $.99 cents, I ask for help in spreading the word.
