Hello,

Our book this month is Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. Have you started reading the book yet?

I am through chapter one so far and enjoying it!

Nick

Rindis | 30 comments Haven't managed to get to the used book store since the decision was made, so no.

Not to mention I'm not sure where I'll squeeze it in with my current reading. Thank goodness it's fairly short!

Christina Stind | 17 comments Just got it from the library so will start it as soon as I finish my current read. How come the other thread about this is closed for new comments?

I meant that post as a tag to say put all discussion of Slaughterhouse-Five in the folder, not in that one thread. I wanted to make sure that all the discussions didn't get started in the thread by mistake which would be a mess! Just a precaution since the folders thing is new to GoodReads.

♥ Rebecca ♥ | 51 comments Unfortunately I wont be able to because our Library doesnt have it.

bsc (bsc0) | 250 comments I'm not sure of the legality, but it can be read in its entirety (I think) at scribd.com. You can read it in your browser or download it as pdf, txt, and other formats. Here is the link.

♥ Rebecca ♥ | 51 comments A lot of my reading is not done near a computer, and I dont have any sort of device I could d/l it to. That would not be very convenient. But I think I can order it from my library. I might try it but it might not come in time.

DivaDiane SM | 3693 comments I read this before, but plan to reread it in the new-ish graphic novel format.

Christopher | 981 comments I loved this book when I read it for AP Literature in high school - especially the thoughts around time and the perception of time.

Cynda | 195 comments Last year I read both the graphic and text book formats. Since I read the graphic format first, I cannot say it expanded my understanding, yet I can say I did rather enjoy some of the graphics.

Cynda | 195 comments This novel intrigued me enough that I decided to do a micro study of Vonnegut 's writing this year. Maybe later this month I will read next the The Sirens of Titan.

This is on my list of books I'm afraid to read, but I'm pretty sure VBC is going to force my hand...
