plot holes?

Did anyone find plot holes in:
a) Hiromo used the water from the tap to make coffee Sat night - why were they not poisoned?
b) Ayana left only one bottle of water in the refrigerator so he husband would have to use tap; yet Hiromo saw a line of several bottles when she visited Sat?
c) Ayana guarded the kitchen at all times - but did they NEVER use the tap to rinse dishes, wash hands, etc?

I'd appreciate any enlightenment on what I didn't understand.

Helene a) The tap water was not poisoned; the water filter was poisoned.
b) Hiromi saw the line of several bottles when she visited their house on the night of the party; on Saturday there was no need for her to open the refrigerator.
c) Ayane did mention she was extremely guarded and careful. And maybe washing and rinsing would not have the effect as much as intaking it would.

I did not find any potholes in the story so to say.Only possible weak point is how could Ayane guard the filter for a whole new year when she was also conducting classes of patchwork from another place.did her husband never visited home when she was teaching? Also on a hindsight Ayane giving keys of home to Hiromi when she was going away not only seems to be pointless, but also dangerous as she possibly could have accidently got poisoned.I mean how and why actually Ayane gave a key to Hiromi is not fully explained or rationalised in the novel. It is nothing to suggest that it is not a brilliant novel.

The poison was in the filter of a separate spigot. Higashino describes how she guarded this and kept it from being used. Slow down and read a little more slowly it is a complicated issue in the bbook.

Ann But, at least people I know, use water from the filtered spigot on the sink if you are going to make coffee or tea.

I believe that Ayane gave Hiromi the key to her apartment because she needed Hiromi to show her husband how to make the coffee (because Ayane had thrown out her husband's coffee maker). Or, she had wanted to leave things to chance and see if instead it would be Hiromi who would have died if she had used the water filter...?
