I tell you about my WIP, you tag me, I link to you, then I find five other WIPs you haven't already tagged and I get to tag them, then they link to me, then each of them does five. So you generate five tags, they generate twenty five, then 125...each succeeding generation of tags being a square of five. By the end of a week, you could have produced around 80 thousand tags, each one responsible for finding five more.
From my own experience, that should about cover the number of new books hitting Amazon every week.
I recommend asking each taggee to send the tagger one dollar (to defray expenses, of course). Before I get slammed for being boorish, please consider that taggee #32,157 is going have a dickens of a time finding an author who hasn't already been tagged. Turning it into a pyramid scheme makes greed and avarice work in your favor.
Alternatively, you could get each of your taggees to put $100 in trust, payable to the last member of the group to publish their book. This is kind of like a tontine, except the authors don't actually have to die. Oh, yeah...the winner doesn't get to publish. I guess that's counter-productive. Forget about it.
Another alternative - play tag for real. That should winnow the old, fat authors and make room for fresh, healthy ideas. Sure, some people might die in this version of the game, but that's going to happen anyway, so suck it up and run!
Count me in. I'm doing the final edit on my next novel.

I'm trying to combine sarcasm with brevity. If I ever get the form perfected, I'm going to call it "sarcavity". Does that sound too dental? How about "brevicasm"?
Since nobody is sure whether I'm being sarcastic, perhaps I should try some other combination. How about humility and exaggeration ("humaggeration")? Fiction and documentary ("fictomentary")? Chocolate and peanut butter ("Reeses")? Admit it - you saw that one coming!
Ooh! Ooh! Liberal and conservative ("benstein").
And Nancy - THANKS for stealing Hannah. She was mine!

That's not too brief Jon. And, I didn't steal Hannah. I'm tagging you not Hannah! So, you've got to post your blog hop on 12/12/12. How cool is that?
Did you get my message with the instructions, Jon?

Then if anyone wants to participate a week or so after that one, I'll be happy to list you. Just let me know

Here's the link: http://nancylarondajohnson.blogspot.com

There are a bunch of "writers" or "authors" groups on LinkedIn you could post to.

Jaq - Is that OK with you?
"The Next Big Thing" is a Blog Hop where the week following your tagger's post (in this case my post on 12/5), you link to the person who "tagged" you on your blog or webpage, share responses about your WIP, and then "tag" about five other people to be next. It's a way to put word about about your website and books to more people.
Again, I'm posting on 12/5/12 and need people to tag. Message me if your interested and I'll send you the details.
