Stumped on how to merge 2 versions of book

So, author William Ryan put out a call on Twitter asking a GR Lib to help merge two versions of his book The Bloody Meadow (US title: The Darkening Field). I offered to help, but I'm stumped.

Seems to be a catch 22 - I can't merge them bc he's a Goodreads Author and controls his profile, but he can't either, bc he's not a librarian.

The one that got separated from his profile is this one:

Which needs to be merged with this one: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

Help?! The separated one has 5 spaces between, William^^^^^Ryan, while the official one is William^^^Ryan. But if I try and change the other one to William^^^Ryan it tells me I can't because he controls his profile.

i think only a super-librarian can merge because he is a goodreads author...

Edited the author field so it appeared on his page already combined with the others.

Why would he use Twitter?

The Bloody Meadow and The Darkening Field are mixed up. Fixing.
