Some paranormal trilogy with a man named Lucian [s]

I read this in 2010/2011 and it was a trilogy. The first book is about a vampire named Lucian and at the beginning of the book he goes into a library, sees a girl who has his mother's ring and supposedly since she found the ring they are destined to be together..I really wish I remembered more of the book!!!

Hmm. A quick search turns up a number of vampire books with characters named Lucian/Lucien. Here's two possibilities:

Insatiable by Meg Cabot

Dark Guardian by Christine Feehan

I did some looking around, and I think it might be A Taste for Passion by Patrice Michelle. It's part of a series called the Kendrian Vampires series, and there seems to be a ring involved. I think this is probably your best bet.
