How did you find the group?

I know, of course, most of you have come through from the LJ group. Welcome! I'm pretty sure there are some who found this group through Goodreads, though. I'm curious to know who found the group which way. So how did you find this group, from LJ or Goodreads?

Dare I ask about the logo? I've been pondering it the last couple of days... I don't remember seeing it on LJ, although I just went and looked and it is there. Maybe it's because I always read via the Friends Page?

Whatever, I've missed the story of its reason and genesis so please put me out of my misery and explain it to me! (I have a theory, which I'll share once I know the official version.)

It's been our logo for a while, though not always, and was made by Parker, who is brilliant. It's a teaspoon, rainbow coloured because slash. Why a teaspoon? Because The Slash Pile = TSP = teaspoon.

I'm curious to here what your theory was, whether or not you got it right.

No, I didn't get it right. I got the rainbow bit and I thought may the spoon was for mixing, to indicate that it didn't matter where on the (gender and or sexual) spectrum anyone was or whether they stayed there.

That's a pretty good theory too! Some people also think it looks like some kind of sex toy, so there's that too.

lol I just saw this thread and was reading further back, and saw the explanation for the logo. For some reason I'd been thinking it was some sort of sex toy as well... I guess I hadn't ever looked at it closely. But the real reason for it makes sense :)

(Also because I don't think I ever answered, I also found out through lj)
